Dept. of Hyperbole: In his opening remarks yesterday about a possible peace plan for Gaza, President Trump called it “potentially one of the great days ever in civilization.” If it comes to pass, it would be a remarkable achievement, so let’s leave it at that.  Mr. Modesty also added that if the peace plan is accepted by both sides, Gaza would be overseen by what he calls a Board of Peace. Trump will oversee the board.  However, he went out of his way to emphasize that Arabs, Israelis and “everybody involved” asked him to be in charge.  “I’m very busy, but we have to make sure this works,” he said. sounding surprisingly defensive.
