This morning, in a terse Truth Social post, Donald Trump called for the imprisonment  of Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson for their “failure” to protect ICE officers. Both are Democrats (shocking – not!)…Meeting with Canada’s Liberal Prime Minister Mark Carney at the White House yesterday, Trump suggested the U.S. and Canada “merge.” The Gateway Pundit opined that The Donald was only joking. Are you?…Dept. of Surprises: A guest NY Times opinion piece yesterday praised  Sec. of Defense Pete Hegseth’s widely panned macho rant last week to hundreds of military brass he summoned from the earth’s four corners.  “(Hegseth) outlined a nuanced vision of the military’s purpose and its relationship to civilian society,” wrote Times contributor Christopher Caldwell, who is also a contributing editor to the conservative Claremont Review of Books “Since that vision is starkly at odds with a great deal of what the military has been about for the past three decades, the secretary had every reason to call the top brass together and explain what was changing, as well as why and how.” I haven’t stopped gagging since reading Caldwell’s op-ed…Another thing to worry about: TV personality Andrew Zimmern sounds the alarm about nonstick frying pans in an convincing NY Times essay.  Not only does Zimmern, ex-host of the Travel Channel’s “Bizarre Foods,” point out the cancer-causing elements in many nonstick cookware, he posits that food tastes better if it’s made with other types of pans..If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
