Greetings! The sheer volume of Trump’s hyperactive Truth Social postings is finally drawing the attention of the mainstream media. In the past week alone, we’ve seen an almost unprecedented blitz of dozens of posts filled with Trump’s over-the-top bluster and bullshit. Today’s Wall Street Journal published an analysis of thousands of his Truth Social posts. The conclusion: Trump uses Truth Social to “spread conspiracy theories and attack his enemies.” Sheesh. I could have told you that a year ago. NPR White House reporter Danielle Kurtzleben also analyzed his Truth Social posts. One of her startling revelations in her excellent May 8 article was that Trump has written 2,249 posts for the first four months of the year, an average of 19 posts a day….And speaking of Truth Social, Trump published a post last night of a map of northern South America with the stars and stripes superimposed over Venezuela, signaling in a not subtle manner his imperialistic intentions for the country….The government-sponsored pro-mom website Moms.gov, which launched Sunday, gets the stink-eye in a biting MSNOW opinion piece. The site, run by the Dept. of Health and Human Services, is termed by MSNOW as being “short on facts and long on propaganda.” Mom.gov touts itself as the all-encompassing solution for information about prenatal and postnatal care, infant nutrition and TrumpRX. However, writer Dr. Jessica Talarco concludes “that the website is aimed at asserting Trump’s ‘pro mom’ bona fides while preying on vulnerable women with thinly veiled propaganda of an anti-abortion, anti-vaccine, and anti-feminist bent”…Not so fast: The American Conservative believes that the case for Marco Rubio as the GOP nominee for president in 2028 may be overstated…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
