TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Apr. 17, 2025

Greetings! Trump has done the near-impossible. He’s made us feel sorry for poor, picked-upon Harvard…Greenland, Canada, the Panama Canal, and now Chile? American Thinker wants Trump to “snatch” an important deep-water port in Chile that China allegedly is angling to control.…Phrase of the day: “harem drama.” That refers to the challenges of managing Elon Musk’s four women who together have given birth to at least 14 of the mega-billionaire’s children.  According to the Wall Street Journal, it’s just one of the many responsibilities of Musk wingman Jared Birchall…AOC all the way? NY Post columnist Isaac Schorr thinks that AOC is a legitimate contender for a strong White House run in 2028.  He cites a Yale University poll that names her as the most popular Democrat. “The enthusiasm she inspires on the left is matched only by that which Trump evokes on the right,” Schorr writes….The National Review throws shade at Secretary of State Marco Rubio for flubbing the government’s explanation for the case against Abrego Garcia.  “It is inconceivable that the secretary of state is unaware the man had a legal right against deportation to El Salvador that was enforceable in court,” the National Review states…News to me: For almost a year, the Daily Caller has been publishing a free, weekly newsletter cleverly named Mr. Right.  Its apparent goal is to “break the Left’s monopoly on advice columns.”  I just signed up and I’ll report back once I see a few issues…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
