TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Oct. 29, 2025

Greetings1 ABC News chief White House correspondent Jon Karl has published another book with a one-word title that sums up Trump 2.0 perfectly.  Retribution examines the race for the 2024 White House, and, most chillingly, how Trump assembled a new team around him at the White House with the goal of creating an entirely new world order. Worth noting: Karl seems among the most prolific journalists covering the White House. This is his fourth book about Donald Trump: Front Row at the Trump Show (2020), Betrayal (2021), and Tired of Winning (2023)…Department of Strange Coincidences: the trials of James Comey and Rudy Giuliani will both commence on January 5, 2026, per Big League Politics. This seems like a bad way to start a new year.  I’d be much happier if a new Judd Apatov comedy hit the big screen in January…Tucker slammed by the right: The American Thinker calls out Tucker Carlson for leaning into antisemitism and platforming Holocaust revisionists…The website of conservative Association of Mature American Citizens has identified 10 of the supposedly funniest moments in Trump’s second term. I  happen to think most everything about his second term is an epic tragedy…Bill Gates has cooled to the idea of climate change. Here’s his memo where he explains the  reversal of his position….Don’t do it Mr. President! That’s the headline of an article from The American Conservative urging Trump not to push for regime change in Venezuela. The article charged that the administration’s case for its Venezuela policy is “insultingly ridiculous”…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard
