Dept. of Good News (we hope): Legendary Dem strategist and talking head James Carville writes in a NY Times op-ed this morning that he’s “certain” Kamala Harris will win the election…Dept. of Bad Timing: Over the weekend, Trump’s team orchestrated a photo op of the ex-POTUS “working” in the kitchen at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s.  Three days later, the fast food giant announced an E. coli outbreak in Quarter Pounders across 10 states from Wisconsin to Oregon.  While no one has suggested the restaurant where he “worked” had an outbreak, it’s gotta be a real buzz kill to one of the seminal moments of his campaign. Naturally, I didn’t see any reports of the outbreak in right wing media…The conservative Media Research Council announced its first annual free speech award winners from Congress.  Among those cited for defending the First Amendment were Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Jim Jordan (R-OH)…The NY Post is trumpeting a United Nations report revealing that women have lost close to 900 medals to transgender competitors in female sporting categories….Former Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen just endorsed Kamala Harris for president with an op-ed in the conservative Wall Street Journal editorial page of all places.  “Kamala Harris is an internationalist who believes in the rule of law and in a rules-based system that strives for global order and stability,” he writes today.  “Donald Trump’s approach is rooted in isolationism, xenophobia and white nationalism under the banner of ‘America first,’ with fascist historical overtones”….If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
