Greetings! Vice President Kamala Harris made a surprise appearance  on “Saturday Night Live” with her hilarious doppelganger Maya Rudolph.  The Veep showed off her comic chops in front of a crucial young demo she needs to make1600 Pennsylvania Avenue her next home.   Here’s the link to the video (Harris shows up at the 6:10 mark).  Predictably, right wing media skewered the bit (Victory Girls)…Gag alert: Nikki Haley bows to The Donald. Trump’s GOP primary rival assumes the position in an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal asserting that Trump is the better choice, while offering “he’s not perfect.”   Way to minimize a twice impeached, convicted felon and sex offender by describing him as merely “not perfect”…An article in the UK’s The Telegraph claims Hollywood libs are penalizing Clint Eastwood for his right-leaning politics.  Juror #2, Eastwood’s latest film, opened in only 50 theaters to mixed reviews. NewsBusters leaps to Eastwood’s defense asking: Is this anyway to treat a legend?…Last week’s craziest right wing headline:  FrontPage’s Vote for Kamala to Keep Your Porn and End Your Marriage.  Wowzer! That’s  a lot to unpack in a single headline…Weekend observation.  In these dark final days of the 2024’s presidential campaign, I found a rare island of positivity.  The 53rd New York Marathon ran by my building yesterday, and as I waded into the cheering masses  packed along Manhattan’s First Avenue, I couldn’t help but smile.  I hope we all have more reasons to smile later this week…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
