TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Nov. 18, 2025

Greetings! Apologies for the late delivery. Epic problems with my newsletter provider. Let’s hope tomorrow is a better day…Much to the dismay of the Wall Street Journal, political dynasties are a hot trend this fall.  The headline of this editorial, which especially targets a young Kennedy running for office, says it all: Jack Schlossberg and the Case Again Political Royalty. Jack Schlossberg, son of Caroline Kennedy, and grandson of JFK, has his eye on a key New York congressional seat that will become vacant when Rep. Jerry Nadler retires next year.  Writer Jack Butler expresses disdain at Schlossberg’s thin resume which includes work in a surf shop and employment as a Vogue political journalist. “American voters don’t owe Mr. Schlossberg the favor of an elected position because of his name,” Butler writer.  “To believe otherwise would be to admit that what the Kennedys always meant by ‘public service’ was self-service.” Ouch! I’m still giving the 32-year-old political neophyte, who would serve my district, a serious look. He gets points in my book for trashing wacky cousin RFK Jr…Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) has a big fan in Ray Cardello, editor of Conservative View from NH.  “I was dead wrong about this man,” Cardello confesses in his latest column. “He continues to prove himself a voice of reason in a Senate chamber that is significantly lacking in it”…Kash Patel’s gal pal of three years, conservative country western artist Alexis Wilkins, has been the target of violent threats. The Daily Wire has the detailsNo King: Four Stephen King movies have tanked at the box office this year, per Breitbart.  They include “The Running Man,” “The Long Walk,” “The Monkey” and “The Life of Chuck”…MAGA Clickbait of the Day: This Outkick headline caught my eye: MAGA Bikini Congresswoman Triggers Libs in Tactical Gear.  Buried deep in the story was an image of Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) in a stars and stripes one piece….If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard
