Greetings! Donald Trump’s MAGA-Fest Destiny knows no bounds: After setting his sights on Greenland, Panama and Canada, he has added Gaza to his unhinged imperialism designs. So much for isolationism…If Trump floated the U.S. taking control of Gaza pre-November 5, would the election have gone the other way? Trump support among some Arab-Americans would have evaporated. Indeed, plenty of voters might have cast a wary eye on the nation’s military being bogged down in another global hotspot …The conservative sports website Outkick has emerged as an unlikely critic of Trump’s shocking suggestions about U.S. intervention in Gaza and plans to resettle its nearly two million residents. “It would cut directly across his ‘America First’ mindset,” opines David Hookstead. In addition, Outkick reports that UFC superstar Sean Strickland just says no to Trump’s off-the-wall idea…Add the Washington Examiner to the tiny list of rightward outlets wary of Trump’s Gaza gambit. The Washington Examiner suggests that annexing Gaza would jeopardize American security interests…So much for folks from the left to the political middle deserting mainstream media outlets after Trump’s November victory. I wrote about the phenomena last month in this article for the Columbia Journalism Review. That trend may be swinging back. The New York Times released its Q4 financial results and disclosed that it added 350,000 digital subscribers in the quarter for a 4.4% year-over-year rise. Just wondering: how many of the new subscribers were some of the 200,000 Washington Post readers who canceled their subscriptions after Jeff Bezos nixed a Kamala endorsement for president at the fabled DC media outlet?… If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
