Greetings! Could a new Netflix movie centered on coal mining hinder the streaming giant’s $83 billion quest for Warner Bros Discovery?  “The Queen of Coal” centers on a trans woman with ambitions to work in the mines.  The fictional film, produced in Spain, drops domestically December 19.  The Daily Caller has an article quoting Gabriella Hoffman, director of the right-leaning Independent Women’s Center for Energy and Conservation, as saying, “Woke content like this could complicate potential merger talks with Warner Bros Discovery.” The Daily Caller piece offers statistics from a Concerned Women for America report claiming that 41% of kids’ shows on Netflix contain LGBTQ+ themes. Worth noting: Ultra-right YouTuber influencer Benny Johnson also seems royally annoyed about “The Queen of Coal.” He wrote on X that if Netflix buys Warner Bros, the LGBTQ agenda will rule the streaming universe.  “Cancel Netflix, block the deal, save the children,” he tweeted.
