Greetings! The Wall Street Journal tackled the subject of the horrific Minneapolis school shooting yesterday in an inoffensive editorial not likely to raise cheers on either side of the gun debate.  The editors wrote that the disturbed young men who are school shooters shouldn’t have access to guns.  They go on to write, “The mental-health lobby and gun-rights advocates may protest, but a society serious about protecting its most vulnerable needs to have this debate.” Debate? That’s it? Lame…Dept. of Bad Timing: The CDC is in turmoil after the abrupt firing by HHS Secretary RFK Jr of the agency’s head Dr. Susan Monarez, so what does Kennedy do?  He writes an anodyne op-ed for today’s Wall Street Journal extolling the virtues of eating an apple a day and encouraging medical schools to add nutrition to their curriculum….The right-wing press is raising questions about the whereabouts of the $100 million raised during the January 30 FireAid concert to assist victims of the devasting LA wildfires.  Earlier this week, the Washington Free Beacon questioned where the money was spent and now Hollywood in Toto is fanning the flames.  HiT reports that actor Miles Teller announced during the concert, “All of the money raised will go directly to people who need it now.” To which, HiT snarked, “Unless they’re white, perhaps?”…Just asking: Has anyone heard from Rudy Giuliani lately? He just sold his Manhattan penthouse for $4.95 million (NY Post)…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard
