Greetings! Phrase of the Day: Unconditional surrender.  A mere week into Trump’s war with Iran this winter, the portly POTUS demanded the country’s “unconditional surrender,” as this March 6 Reuters article notes.  If you read any of the stories being published over the last 24 hours about the weak terms of Trump’s Memo of Understanding with Iran (like this analysis by David Sanger of the NY Times) you’ll see the folly and failure of Trump’s original bluster…California needs a pro-business governor. So argues Steve Hilton in a Wall Street Journal op-ed. Hilton happens to be running as a Republican candidate for governor of the Golden State.  The Fox News contributor identifies several reasons for California’s hostile business climate including “crushing taxes, regulatory bloat, excessive union power, climate extremism and out-of-control litigation”…Bummer. Looks like the NY Knicks have accepted President Trump’s invitation to visit the White House in celebration of their thrilling NBA championship run. It marks the first time that a NBA championship team has visited a Trump-occupied White House according to USA Today.  Some Knick players like Josh Hart are vocal anti-Trumpers. Other prominent anti-Trump basketball stars since 2017 include Steph Curry and LeBron James. All eyes will be on finals MVP Jalen Brunson to see if he decides to attend….Thursday Watch: Today at noon EDT marks the grand opening ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center.  It will be a live streamed event which you can watch here. Cool factor: the Center has a basketball court…Generous: Right-wing comedian Rob Schneider has offered to pay the fines for any Major League Baseball player penalized for writing Bible verses over their Pride Night hats.
