Greetings! Another Trump administration cast member bites the dust.  Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer resigned yesterday, slinking out amidst a swirl of sordid allegations, including boozing on  the job and conducting an illicit relationship with a subordinate.  A White House spokesperson said Chavez-DeRemer was departing for a job in the private sector which is Trump-speak for lose our number…Dept. of Butt Kissing: This morning, in a loopy Truth Social post, The Donald once again reveals his pathological need for constant adulation.  In the wake of Tim Cook announcing he would soon step down as Apple CEO, Trump recalled  a conversation with him early in his first White House residency: “When I got the call I said, wow, it’s Tim Apple (Cook!) calling, how big is that? I was very impressed with myself to have the head of Apple calling to ‘kiss my ass’”…Just published: This Vast Enterprise, a new take on the epic Lewis and Clark 8,000-mile expedition to cross what is today’s continental United States.  The NY Times calls the nonfiction book a “page turner” in a rave review. I  can’t wait to read it.  “This Vast Enterprise” chronicles  one of my favorite stories about our nation’s history  and seems appropriate for the country’s 250th birthday…Subscriber Claudia Wheatley bristles with disdain at former EU ambassador Gordon Sondland’s description of getting Iran to back down is like breaking a horse.  “We don’t ‘break’ horses anymore, Gordie ol’ pal,” she wrote in a note to TheRighting regarding Sondland’s Fox News op-ed yesterday. “Now that they’re not essential to transportation and farming, we use kinder, gentler training methods.
