November Traffic Rises at Truth Social While All Other News Websites Post Large Declines

Traffic is going off a cliff to news websites
Traffic to news websites in November fell off a cliff.

Year-over-year (YOY) traffic to almost all right-wing news websites plunged precipitously in November according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of mobile and desktop traffic based on Similarweb data. The only news outlet that TheRighting monitors that posted a YOY traffic increase was the Donald Trump-controlled social media platform Truth Social.

In November, Truth Social attracted 17.7 million visits compared to 16.8 million visits in November 2024 for a 5% increase.

More than half of the right-wing news websites surveyed by TheRighting had traffic declines of 30% or higher. Even visits to the fast-growing The Free Press dropped. The right-titling news and opinion website, co-founded by Bari Weiss, hit a rare speed bump in November when YOY traffic sagged 16%.

“The year-over-year drop in November 2025 traffic for all news websites on the right, left and center was expected because of the November 2024 elections, which drew millions of additional  eyeballs,” said Howard Polskin, President, TheRighting. “However, I was surprised at the size of the double-digit drop-offs.  November was a bloodbath for most news websites.”

The three mainstream news websites TheRighting regularly follows all experienced significant YOY losses: The Washington Post (-39%), CNN (-35%), and The New  York Times (-15%).
