Only One Right-Wing News Website Increases Traffic in Dismal December

December 2025 visits right-wing websites PJ Media was the only right-wing news website tracked by TheRighting that increased its year-over-year (YOY) visits in December. According to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of mobile and desktop traffic based on Similarweb data, PJ Media attracted 4.9 million visits in December, up 5% from December 2024 when PJ Media had 4.7 million visits.

For the second month in a row, YOY visits sagged to The Free Press, the right-titling news and opinion website co-founded by Bari Weiss. Last month, The FP had 3.8 million visits last month, compared to 4.7 million visits in December 2024.

“Trafffic-wise, it was a lousy month for all websites, right, left and mainstream,” said Howard Polskin, President, TheRighting. “I expect YOY visits to remain soft in January 2026 because they will be compared to January 2025, when Donald Trump began his second term as President of the United States.”

Among the three mainstream news websites TheRighting tracks on a monthly basis, The New York Times registered the lowest decrease in YOY visits (-1%), followed by Fox News (-19%) and The Washington Post (-21%).
