TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Nov. 20, 2025

Greetings! Happy 83rd birthday Joe Biden.  The Washington Free Beacon drops a pile of nasty on Uncle Joe dubbing  him the “worst living president.” Adding to the Grim Reaper assessment, the outlet’s Andrew Stiles predicts that this is “likely his last birthday after leaving office in disgrace”…Speaking of the Free Beacon, it has a new tagline tucked under the logo at the top of every page: “Covering the enemies of freedom the way the mainstream media won’t”….Dept. of Modesty: In a Truth Social post, Donald Trump claims “according to most observers”  it’s been “one of the best ten opening months for a President in USA history”….Dick Cheney’s funeral is today and a Wall Street Journal op-ed honors him with a surprisingly positive assessment of his push for massive military intervention in Iraq. “Cheney supported regime change in Iraq for precisely the reason Mr. Trump’s fans say they love him,” wrote Barton Swain in a loving send-off to George W. Bush’s widely reviled Veep. “Cheney thought the experts were wrong and that the existing state of affairs was no longer defensible. And—mistakes in execution aside—he was right”…A worthwhile documentary debuted last week with little fanfare:  HBO’s Thoughts and Prayers examines the multi-billion-dollar active shooter preparedness industry. Hollywood in Toto calls it “balanced”…Ultra-right flamethrower Ann Coulter, who has often taken aim at The Donald, believes that the release of the Epstein files will produce a big, fat nothingburger. “Is the Trump administration going to keep playing games and redact everything interesting from the files?” she asks and answers in her latest column. “Only if they’re incredibly stupid. So the answer is yes”…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard
