Greetings! I found it noteworthy that Trump made the announcement about the apprehension of the alleged killer of Charlie Kirk. It points to Trump’s pathological need to take credit for any positive news, and a subtle dig at the much criticized FBI Director Kash Patel. The NY Times has a scathing takedown of Patel today. The FBI director’s remarks at the press conference this morning announcing the successful end of the manhunt struck me as a rebuttal to the Times story where he repeatedly touted the speed and efficiency of his agency’s investigation…Low-profile Middle Tennesse State University (MTSU) has landed in the middle of two controversies. As The College Fix reports, it fired Assistant Dean laura Sosh-Lightsy after she posted a comment on Facebook saying she had “zero sympathy” for the murder of Charlie Kirk. And Campus Reform published a story saying that official chat group of the MTSU College Democrats “appear to say ‘There is no reason to feel sorry’ for murdered Charlie Kirk.” However, the story went on to point out that the group denounces political violence and termed the assassination “reviling”…Echoing an oft-repeated phrase relating to the JFK assassination, this NewsBusters article asks, “Where were you when Charlie was shot?” “Like the JFK assassination, this brutal murder will not be forgotten, not for many years to come,” writes Brent Bozell, the founder of the right-wing watchdog group the Media Research Council. “You just felt it yesterday.
