Greetings! Today is “Sin” day. The bombshell nonfiction book Original Sin finally hits retail shelves.  Suffice to say, Joe Biden’s no good, awful, terrible, bad week somehow will get even worse as the nation’s chattering heads will be fixated on revelations about his alleged mental decline and new developments regarding his cancer diagnosis. My heart goes out to the former president, but he’s brought a lot of the speculation and scrutiny on himself.  If he decided not to run two years ago, we’d be having a much different conversation now and we might be talking about the books being published that highlight his presidential accomplishments…Another cancer on the presidency.  For obvious reasons, I recall the warning that White House counsel John Dean III said to Richard Nixon on March 21, 1973, as the Watergate investigation closed in on the president.  “We have a cancer within, close to the presidency that’s growing,” Dean informed the beleaguered president, as they discussed the possibility that his two top aides might be charged with obstruction of justice.  “It’s growing daily.  It’s compounding. It grows geometrically now.” Different type of cancer for Biden.  But another threat to his legacy…Question of the day: Is cover-up spelled with or without a hyphen? I’m using a hyphen…Trump is calling for an investigation into campaign appearances by Bruce Springsteen, Oprah Winfrey and Bono in support of Kamala Harris’s run for president.  In a threatening post on Truth Social, he wrote, “Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment. In addition, this was a very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds. IT’S NOT LEGAL”…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard
