TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Jan. 6, 2025

Greetings! CNN contributor David Axelrod wonders if the nation’s history would have changed if the heavy snow that blanketing Washington today happened exactly four years ago on Jan. 6, 2021. (X)…The semi-big news over the weekend was that canceled Hollywood filmmaker Brett Ratner has been tapped to direct an authorized documentary about Melania Trump for Amazon Prime.  It’s worth noting, as the blog Hollywood in Toto reminds us, that there was another documentary about the incoming first lady that was released in 2020. The 57-minute “Looking for Melania Trump” is available for free online.  I gather it’s not a flattering portrait…Speaking of Melania, I stumbled across this 16-minute clip of her and The Donald in their first prime time interview with CNN’s Larry King from 2005. Hate to admit it, but they were quite the handsome couple….The progressive-friendly upstart social media platform Bluesky attracted more unique visitors in November than the Trump-controlled Truth Social according to our exclusive research.  However, for the fifth consecutive month, Truth Social registered double-digit gains in traffic.  Here’s the full report…I’ll support any politician who introduces legislation in 2025 banning the hidden password security function that shows passwords as dots or asterisks.  At the very least, it shouldn’t be the default setting.  It’s annoying and time consuming.  OK, that’s enough of me shouting at clouds today….If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
