TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Sep. 9, 2024

Greetings! The feature film Sound of Freedom became a box office hit a year ago, propelled by the widespread support from MAGA-nation, including Donald Trump who hosted a screening of the movie at his  Bedminster golf club. The inspiration for “Sound of Freedom” spotlighted the exploits of Tim Ballard, who founded the anti-sex-trafficking organization Operation Underground Railroad. There are now serious allegations surfacing that Ballard is a sexual predator, preying on women who worked for him, including reports in today’s NY Times, following an August 27 Wired magazine article.  Wonder how the right  wing media will react to these explosive charges…The Gateway Pundit claims the dress E. Jean Carroll she says she wore when Trump assaulted her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in 1994 was not manufactured until several years later.  “The story is a complete hoax,” claims The Gateway Pundit…Ardent Trump supporter and WWE wrestling icon Hulk Hogan recently launched his own beer brand. Dubbed  Real American Beer, the Hulkster’s  brew has been endorsed by The Donald, his teetotaling pal. “If he’s doing it, it must be good,” gushed Trump on Truth Social yesterday.  The post features a big image of a can of the new brew with a ridiculous drawing of a bare-chested Hulk holding a huge American flag. One reviewer called Real American Brew a “real American bummer”…Oh brother:  Barack Obama’s half-brother, Malik Obama, came out in support of Donald Trump’s White House run, according to reports last week, which Trump amplified on Truth Social this weekend….If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
