No Pandemic Fatigue Among News Consumers

As All Top 20 Conservative Websites Post Traffic Gains in July

August 26, 2020, New York, NY – All websites in TheRighting’s top 20 conservative websites posted year-over-year (YOY) gains in unique visitors for July 2020, according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of July 2020 mobile and desktop traffic based on Comscore data.

“This is a remarkable performance by the leading right-wing websites,” said Howard Polskin, President and Chief Curator, TheRighting.  “Although July was a relatively slow news month on the political front, the strong traffic represents a barometer of the public’s continued appetite for any conservative news or opinions regarding the pandemic.  This upward trend began in March at the start of the outbreak in the U.S. and shows no sign of abating.”

Foxnews.com remained the leading conservative news website with 110,372,000 unique visitors in July and a 9% YOY increase in unique visitors.  TheBlaze followed up in second place, the first time in that position since February 2019.

CNS News posted its fourth straight month of YOY triple-digit gains.  Last month, it drew 5,816,000 unique visitors, up 305% compared to July 2019 when CNS News attracted only 1,438,000 unique visitors.

CNN.com led all mainstream news sites tracked by TheRighting with 156,193,000 unique visitors in July, for a 20% YOY gain.  The New York Times Brand had a 21% YOY increase and the Washingtonpost.com saw its YOY July traffic rise 8%.
