Any city where the data of gun violence is published, comes the truth of who is committing the gun violence. Durham, NC, is no different. It’s a 49 percent white, 38 percent black city. And we learn how in 2020 just how much black lives truly matter, with 89 percent of those shot being black. Interesting, 97 percent of those suspects who have been caught for those shootings during the racial reckoning of 2020 were black.
