Greetings!  In recognition of Kash Patel’s confirmation as FBI chief, I’ve chosen my word of the week: Kakistocracy.  It’s defined as a government run by the most unqualified and unscrupulous citizens.  Ring any bells?...Trump is sounding increasingly serious about making Canada the 51^st state.  Last night, in a Truth Social post before the politically freighted 4 Nations Face-Off hockey game between the U.S. and Canada, Trump said that Canada, “will someday, maybe soon, become our cherished and very important Fifty First State.” In the same megalomaniacal post, Trump invited “Governor” Trudeau to watch the game with him in Washington, a major diss of the Canadian prime minister.  This crazy bile aimed at a country that has been such a staunch American ally is shameful.  USA Today sports columnist Erik Brady spoke bluntly for many of his fellow Americans in yesterday’s timely column; “Feel free to hate me but I’m rooting for Team Canada in the 4 Nations”… February Fireworks Alert: Trump plans to deliver a fiery speech tomorrow to cap the three-day CPAC conference in Maryland.  CPAC, a political Woodstock for conservatives, has a stellar nationalist lineup, including  JD Vance, border big shot Tom Homan and a host of European ultra-right-wingers such as Nigel Farage…Megyn Kelly for president in 2028? So predicts snarky Fox News host Jesse Watters who thinks the right wing superstar podcaster is positioned for a White House run, reports Mediaite. Greetings! Another day, another Rupert Murdoch outlet criticizing Trump. This time, a NY Post fiery editorial condemns Trump’s outlandish financial demands on Ukraine. “Helping Ukraine defend itself from Vladimir Putin’s illegal, barbaric invasion was the right thing to do,” the editors wrote. “To squeeze the war-crippled country for all we can, simply because we can would be despicable.” The NY Post noted that the hundreds of billions the U.S. is seeking from Ukraine is “a demand that a victor might make of a country that started and lost a war, to teach a lesson. Indeed, as a share of GDP, it looks to be harsher than what the victorious allies imposed on Germany in the Peace of Versailles after World War I.” I rarely agree with NY Post editorials, however this time the Murdoch tabloid nailed it…The Free Press, the right-titling news outlet co-founded by  Bari Weiss, also trashed Trump’s assertion that Ukraine started the devastating three-year war with Russia…WND is reporting a rumor that the Delta flight that crashed upside-down in Toronto was piloted by an all-female crew. The airline has not released the gender of pilot or crew, per WND.  But the subtext of the article appears that men are more capable pilots than women...Trump has not  posted any content in the news section of his website since January 17. He used to regularly express his opinions there and link to stories that affirmed his beliefs or showered him with praise. However, when you land on the MAGA-in-Chief’s website, the first image is a Shop Now button for a site hawking Trump  merch…Hadn’t noticed: PJ Media compliments the Big-Mac-munching macher of Mar-a-Lago on his apparent weight loss, calling it impressive.  Reports suggested he dropped 20 pounds…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
