Greetings! Memo to Sean Duffy: Your bumpy ride as Secretary of Transportation will become rockier today as the Real ID program kicks off at the nation’s already congested airports.  Expect air travel to become increasingly chaotic, especially in the wake of the terrifying news about air traffic controllers at Newark Liberty Airport losing contact with aircraft.  Suggested reading for anyone flying the unfriendly skies while the under-qualified Duffy remains at the helm: Erica Jong’s 1973 best-selling novel Fear of Flying…In recognition of the Mad King’s growing obsession with reopening Alcatraz as a prison, here are four movies that may be on Donald Trump's White House screening watchlist: Escape from Alcatraz, Birdman of Alcatraz, The Rock and Six Against the RockHelp wanted: The Daily Signal, a DC-based outlet affiliated with the conservative Heritage Foundation, is beefing up its reporting staff. Michelle Obama Has Become Even More Tedious

source: PJ Media

Barack and Michelle Obama are the recurring rash of American political tabloid news, continually finding mundane ways to stay in the spotlight. It's shallowness on parade and, in the case of Mrs. Obama, there's always a heavy dose of whining to go along with it.

Forget Alcatraz, Mr. Trump. Think Nevada

source: Daily Signal

Nevada has land. Lots of land. The Trump Department of Justice could build a big, beautiful penitentiary in the middle of the state, and there wouldn’t be a NIMBY for miles. The federal government already manages more than 80% of the land in Nevada.

100 Days of Trump 2.0: American Pride Trumps Prejudice

Given that Trump 2.0 is only hundred days old, out of a more than 1400 of this administration, any news of the death of President Trump's agenda, even rumor of it being in disarray or worse, is no different than painting your daughter’s entire life red just because she put on red lipstick when she was seven.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Latest Trump cabinet member in the hot seat: Sean Duffy, the ex-reality TV star, who seems to be flying blind in his new role as Secretary of Transportation. Frighteningly, the nation's air traffic control system appears dysfunctional (Wall Street Journal: America’s Air Traffic Fiasco) and all eyes are on the unqualified Duffy.  Let’s see if right-wing media defends him in the coming days or maybe he gets tossed under the bus by Trump…Dept. of Strange Bedfellows: Far-right podcaster Candace Owens, who has been accused of being an antisemite, has come to the defense of convicted sex offender and former major Democratic supporter Harvey Weinstein.  In Harvey Speaks. a three-part podcast series, Owens maintains the fallen film titan was falsely accused by a corrupt judicial system.  The Free Press has all the convoluted reasoning…Former Tinseltown mogul Bill Mechanic has a powerful op-ed in Deadline blasting Donald Trump’s half-baked tariff plan on so-called foreign-produced films. He writes, “Like so many other harebrained ideas coming out of Washington these days, this one seems spewed out rather than thought through, and it presents a solution that doesn’t solve anything but aims to create headlines and noise as opposed to making things better. It is all part of Trump’s revenge tour. He’s out to destroy anyone or anything that has not bowed at his altar”…Speaking of hare-brained: Conservative thought-leader Rich Lowry opines in the NY Post that making  Alcatraz a deportation holding facility is a terrible idea.  Lowry cites many flaws in the Trump-hatched plan, noting that the notorious island in San Francisco Bay has been a tourist destination longer than it was a prison (it closed when JFK was in the White House)….If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
