TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Hegseth in the Hot Seat (again): The Daily Princetonian published an article over the weekend charging embattled Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth with plagiarizing “small portions” of his senior thesis. “A review of Hegseth’s thesis by The Daily Princetonian, in consultation with three experts on plagiarism, found eight instances of uncredited material, sham paraphrasing, and verbatim copying,” according to reporter Sena Chang. “But while the three experts all said that the passages violated Princeton’s academic honesty regulations, they differed on whether the violations were serious or too minor to matter.” Hegseth graduated the Ivy League school in 2003.  Townhall calls the article a "nothing burger"....Another week, another Wall Street Journal editorial throwing shade on some aspect of the amoral Trump administration.  This time, the WSJ takes aim at the Trump family's troubling crypto business which gives all appearances of selling access to the president.  Basically, the administration is charged with overseeing the tokens that the Trump family is hawking.  The editors say it’s inviting trouble.  I say it stinks!...Dept. of Sticks & Stones: Trump insulted network TV journalist Martha Raddatz in a post last night Truth Social.  He called her “an old timer on ABC Fake News (the Slopadopolus show!)” and went on to imply she’s a loser and a hater. Worth noting: Trump misspelled her name...News flash. Trump can take a joke. MAGA activist Shawn Faresh has carved out a nice living for himself as a Trump impressionist.  He’s won over many fans including a certain resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.  Our contributor Michael Lovito has all the details in his latest article for TheRighting...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Giving People Money Doesn’t Solve Poverty

People who got more money actually ended up worse off. They worked fewer hours and stayed unemployed longer than the people who only got $50. And that most of their newly found free time was just spent on “leisure.”

Biden Reemerges to Prove Dems Were Right to Dump Him

source: NY Post

By Rich Lowry: In case anyone was wondering, Joe Biden is every bit as unimpressive out of office as he was in it.

How Protein Became the Left’s Newest Microaggression

source: Blaze Media

It's official: Protein has entered the culture war. We would die if we did not eat protein. But apparently the macronutrient is now “right-coded.”

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Pope Leo has criticized the Trump administration in the past.  What are the odds POTUS picks a fight in the next six months with the new leader of the Catholic church?...It’s exactly 400 days until Trump’s 80th birthday.  Never too early to start planning a $20 million military parade to celebrate our mad king….Weekend Watch: Offbeat pick today. The magnificent inlets and bays of Long Island are on my mind as I head out tomorrow to the Jones Beach Inlet to start my summer fishing routine. Therefore, it’s only natural that I’m recommending the short documentary The Bay Houses of Long Island.  Available for free on YouTube (betcha thought I was going to pick Conclave)....Weekend Read: I have an enduring respect and admiration for our steadfast ally and neighbor to the north. So it’s only fitting this week that I steer you toward a couple of nonfiction books I just finished about two of Canada’s favorite sons.  Lorne, written by Susan Morrison, takes a deep dive into the life, times and heady accomplishments of Lorne Michaels, the creator and guiding force behind “Saturday Night Live.”  Both the show and Canadian-born Michaels are still going strong after 50 years.  Former Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter, another Canadian, weighs in with a cheerful look at his charmed life (and virtually unlimited expense accounts) in Manhattan’s glitzy magazine trenches of the 90s and aughts in the autobiography When the Going Was Good.  Both Michaels and Carter had an outsize influence on American culture and we are all richer because of it.  Thank you Canada!...If you keep reading, I’ll keep scrolling. Pope Leo XIV Supports Open Borders

source: The Gateway Pundit

While the corporate media hails Leo XIV as a centrist, a deeper dive into his public statements and social media activity reveals a different story: this pope is unabashedly pro-open borders and has openly criticized conservative leaders—most notably, Vice President J.D. Vance—for standing up for American sovereignty.

The Only Reason for Picking an American Pope Was to Fight Trump

source: FrontPage

Choosing an American Pope is supposed to raise the stakes and elevate a leader with the stature to rally opposition to Trump and more specifically to his immigration policies by invoking the familiar tropes about the need for welcoming in every single migrant.

Newly-Elected Pope Has Taken Multiple Shots at Trump Administration

source: Western Journal

The new pontiff’s X account was immediately dredged up following Prevost’s big promotion, and it’s clear that he has less-than-great sentiments with regards to President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and their respective administration.

Is the Conclave a Lesson in Religion or Politics?

source: Conservative View from NH

By Ray Cardello: If the College of Cardinals were to elect a Pope who believes in the tradition of the Church and the Word of the Bible, Catholics like me might drift back to the Church. If they choose a man who fits the WOKE needs of the progressives who trend towards blessing gay marriage and possibly relaxing beliefs on abortion, I’ll keep going to the Baptist Church on Sunday morning.

Desperate Trump Enemies Lay Siege to the U.S. Economy

Trump’s adversaries are working arduously, if not feverously, to crush his efforts towards bringing back manufacturing, and its jobs, back to the United States.

Trump Is Neutering the Deep State by Gutting the CIA

President Trump has shown an almost superhuman knack for being unthwarted by the CIA and other tendrils of the federal government.

OK, Kill PBS, But Save MSNBC!

source: Ann Coulter

The thing I admire most about liberals is their balls-to-the-wall bravery. This past weekend, for example, CBS's Scott Pelley called Trump a "felon," making him, quite simply, the finest investigative reporter working in journalism today.

Resistance Media Can’t Handle the Truth

source: Washington Examiner

“Resistance” news outlets might have noted revulsion at their maxim, “Don’t let the facts get in the way of a story,” and repented. But after a couple of months’ dismay that people prefer Republicans to run Washington, quiescent news organizations have rededicated themselves to spinning thin and speculative yarns rather than telling people what’s happening.

Trump Attacker Letitia James Now Under FBI Investigation

Suspicions against New York Attorney General include mortgage fraud that could result in long prison term

A Letitia James Perp Walk Would Sure Be Fun

source: PJ Media

She's an awful woman whose Trump Derangement Syndrome makes her ugly inside and out. It also turns out that she's a bit corrupt. The more we find out about her, the worse it gets. The good news is that there may be some consequences in the offing.

Ungrateful Europeans Embarrass Themselves in Latest Anti-American Poll

source: Daily Caller

It’s been eighty years since the United States put a definite end to the deadliest conflict in military history: World War II. Casualties would have, in all likelihood, skyrocketed even higher if not for Harry Truman’s decision to drop atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki — a fact many Europeans still can’t seem to fathom.

FAA Workers Don’t Need Phony “Trauma” Leave After Newark Airport Disaster

The Newark Liberty International Airport mess just keeps getting more alarming: Now it turns out that an insane leave policy for air traffic controllers is adding to the chaos. Yes, controllers can take 45 days off to handle alleged “trauma” caused by … equipment failures.

Infamous lockdown is a symbol of full-throated American justice, fortified with puritanical harshness.
