TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Movie of the day: The King and I, (the gramatically challenged Donald Trump probably calls it  “The King and Me”)...The MAGA-in-Chief has been non-stop bragging about his nonsensical $15 billion defamation lawsuit against the NY Times.  Late last night Trump posted on Truth Social that he’s “getting amazing feedback on my Lawsuit against The New York Times. The predominant feeling and sentiment is, “IT’S ABOUT TIME!”... Smart headline: “Are Conservatives Doing the Canceling Now?” (The Free Press)...Dumb Headline: “Hitler Never Killed Anybody” (Townhall)...Robert Redford, who passed away yesterday, was the embodiment of the All-American movie star.  Here are my three favorite Redford films where his understated onscreen power is in full view: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, and All the President’s Men. Hollywood in Toto argues that Redford’s overt masculinity mattered and that it’s often missing in today’s movies. Worth noting: While American Spectator mourns the death of Redford, the outlet has no sympathy for his politics. “He was also a left-wing activist who too often put his activism into his work, which is almost never a good thing,” wrote the Spectator’s Bruce Bawer. “When politics weren’t involved, Redford was pretty savvy about picking projects.” I disagree with Bawer, but I defend his right to say it...Dept. of Very Bad News:  The new tome  If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies by Eliezer Yudkowsky and Nate Soares posits an AI  doomsday scenario. The authors, public interest advocates in the technology field, maintain that if superhuman AI continues on its current profit-fueled trajectory, it could  be the death of us all. I wonder if ChatGBT agrees with that nightmare thesis...Happy birthday to TheRighting.  We launched exactly eight years ago....If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.  Howard

The Dems Are the Sad, Ugly Chicks Who Marry Imprisoned Killers

source: PJ Media

It's not surprising that the people who gleefully champion abortion have become a death cult. There's really nowhere else to go from there. Let's just hope and pray that it is a very long time before they get another murderous hero to fanboy over.

The Left Is on a Rampage

source: Washington Times

It's a big myth that the Democrats used to be patriotic, God-fearing, moral, anti-crime proponents of free speech.

The Young Left Increasingly Embraces Assassination Culture

source: Washington Examiner

It was a typical early December morning in New York City when UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson started his day with a cup of coffee and a granola bar ahead of a day of meetings. That’s when an assailant walked up behind him and shot him three times

Luigi’s Leftists Cheer as Judge Throws Out Terror Charges

source: FrontPage

A mob of leftists wearing green ‘Luigi’ caps and waving banners about ‘fascism’ celebrated, danced and hugged each other on a Manhattan street after terrorism and first-degree murder charges were thrown out against the leftist killer Luigi Mangione of a health care CEO.

The Normies Just Woke Up and the Left Should Be Worried

source: SteveGruber.com

Regular Americans are done being passive. After witnessing brutal violence and watching progressives cheer, they’ve woken up—and they’re furious. The storm is here, and the left doesn’t even see it coming.

Charlie Kirk Is the Hero America Needs

source: The American Conservative

For all the differences between Kirk and Martin Luther King Jr., both men were peaceful champions for unity and a civil public square.

We Are Charlie Kirk and We Will Not Be Silenced

source: American Spectator

It's time to take up the mantle. We will avenge his death and eradicate the hateful ideology of the Left in the way he would have wanted: with better ideas.

Charlie Kirk’s Death Seems to Spark Great Reawakening Among Pro Athletes

source: Daily Caller

In the wake of Kirk’s murder, it is increasingly apparent that athletes are no longer as afraid to express views that might anger the left. Although that does not necessarily mean they are conservative, it is a welcome change.

Why Charlie Kirk’s Critics Get Him Wrong

source: An Americanist

Many people who never followed Kirk have formed their entire opinion of him from short clips on TikTok or headlines pulled out of context. They see a few seconds of a speech and decide he viewed black people as incompetent or intellectually inferior. That narrative is neat and completely wrong.

The Correct Response to Charlie Kirk’s Assassination

source: American Greatness

Politics is fundamentally about violence—Kirk’s assassination proves the stakes; conservatives must use the law to relentlessly punish political murder and deter copycats.

Charlie Kirk’s Normal Morality Made Him Deviance Culture’s Deadly Foe

source: NY Post

By Rich Lowry: Robinson appears to have carried out the first major political assassination in US history that requires a knowledge of furry culture to totally understand.

Transgenderism Is a Marketing Phenomenon

source: American Thinker

Once, cigarette companies were held liable for marketing to children because of a cartoon camel. Wait until the left is exposed on this one.

Colleges Better Double Down on Defending Conservative Students

source: The Federalist

University presidents will need courage to cultivate free speech for conservatives on campus. Conservatives should help college presidents choose words for their public statements.

WaPo Fires Karen Attiah, Radical Beefcake Columnist Who Praised Hamas

source: Washington Free Beacon

The Washington Post has finally fired Karen Attiah, the radical left-wing journalist best known for her jacked physique, passionate support for anti-Semitic terrorism, and searing columns about why Republicans are racist.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Help wanted.  ICE is looking to hire at least one public affairs specialist, perhaps several, according to this posting at USAJOBS.  The number one requirement for the job – and I kid you not – is that applicants must be a U.S. citizen.  Talk about stating the obvious. Applicants should also have experience “communicating complex topics for a public audience.”  That’s the understatement of the year. The pay ain’t bad if you don’t mind selling your soul: qualified job seekers can earn as much as $171K...Torpedo in the water: Trump has filed a $15 billion lawsuit – that’s no typo – against the NY Times suing the publication for defamation and libel. If the Times buckles or goes bankrupt, what remains of the free press not beholden to the Trump administration will essentially be brought to its knees. In a Truth Social post last night, Trump termed the legendary news organization “one of the worst and most degenerate newspapers in the History of our Country.” (Fox News)...WND has published a list – pulled from random speculation on social media platforms – of conservative figures likely to be the next assassination targets. The names include Ben Shapiro, JK Rowling, Andy Ngo, Matt Walsh and Elon Musk...President Trump is already touting the October 15 release of Eric Trump’s book Under Siege: My Family’s Fight to Save Our Nation.  Papa Trump – who wrote the foreword (natch) – brags that the book is number one on Amazon.  (Actually, it tops the political leaders biographies list, ahead of gems like How to  Test Negative for Stupid, which is probably on Eric’s bedside table.)...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Millions Just Joined the Right Overnight

source: Blaze Media

A Ukrainian refugee’s murder and Charlie Kirk’s assassination shattered America’s apolitical middle.

Adolf Hitler Never Killed Anybody

source: Townhall

The Democratic Party—Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, MSNBC and the legacy media—didn’t pull the trigger that killed Charlie Kirk. But Adolf Hitler didn’t pull trigger that killed countless Jews in the Holocaust, either.

There Can Be No Peace or Unity with a Violent, Unrepentant Left

source: The Federalist

Enough with the false, lazy rhetoric blaming ‘both sides’ for political violence in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s murder.
