Greetings! Donald Trump naturally blames the GOP’s coast to coast Election Day defeats on his absence from the ballot. The Wall Street Journal’s conservative op-ed board  believes otherwise.  This WSJ headline says it all: Trump Really Was on the Ballot...Book Critic-in-Chief: In a Truth Social post, Trump showers praise on ex-FBI agent and current Fox News contributor Nicole Parker for her tome The Two FBIs. The book, which drops November 11, charges the agency had two sets of employees: dedicated, honest agents, and other ones pushing an anti-Trump agenda...Speaking of Truth Social, The Donald was a busy boy on his favorite platform last night, posting 12 videos relating to his 2024 November Election Day triumph.  Worth noting: senior citizens love to remember their past glories....Here’s how the Washington Free Beacon positioned its obituary of Dick Cheney: “Dick Cheney entered the kingdom of heaven on Monday to avoid watching New York City be overtaken by a trust fund communist who loves terrorism.” Not sure the Beacon got its facts straight about George W. Bush’s warmonger Veep entering “the kingdom of heaven”...In the massive coverage of Zohran Mamdani’s earth-shaking election victory in NYC, most media outlets on the right and left failed to mention that the mayor-elect used the Arabic phrase ana minkum wa alaikum (“I am one of you and I am responsible.”) He used it while referencing the neighborhood of Steinway, Queens, where he lived and worked as a politician. It is home to a mix of immigrants from all over the world. I wish he used two or three other languages as well.  The Arabic-language usage, although only four words long, probably did not land well with many Jews in NYC and around the world who are jittery about his stewardship of the Big Apple. Blaze Media called the Bowman defeat a “bloodbath”...Dept. of No Surprises: Lewis “Scooter” Libby, the disgraced ex-chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, has a glowing tribute to his late boss in the Wall Street Journal. “Dick Cheney was the most consequential vice president in American history,” Libby opined. “He was also one of our most successful defense secretaries, a respected congressional leader, the youngest-ever White House chief of staff, a corporate leader and a champion of conservative principles.” Worth noting:NewsBusters has a compilation of damning descriptions of Cheney’s time in power when he was routinely dubbed a war criminal...The Victory Girls blog is surprisingly (but justifiably) appalled that far-right extremist Laura Loomer landed press credentials for Pete “Hairgel” Hegseth’s Department of War.  “I hope Trump and Hegseth distance themselves from her soon.
