TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Get ready for the anti-Communist film festival that will likely land in DC next fall.  Hollywood in Toto reveals that the event is taking shape “at the perfect time.” Funds are still being raised by organizer and journalist Mark Judge, who is reaching out via social media to luminaries like James Woods, JD Vance and Ann Coulter for support so that he can rent a theater.  Movies slated to be screened include “Dr. Zhivago,” “Red Dawn,” “The Year of Living Dangerously” and “The Lives of Others.” Wonder if Trump will offer The Kennedy Center...On Tuesday, I linked to an essay by writer Arthur E. Sowers who expressed fears about the possibility of Trump renaming the country.  That prompted another Righting subscriber Mark Scheerer to suggest that Trump might call America Trumpistan. Here’s my idea: maybe he’ll rename it Trance.  That uses the first two letters of his last name.  It also subtly conjures the over-the-top elegance of France’s Palace of Versailles which aligns with Trump’s garish tastes. And the name also reflects the mental state of Senate and House Republicans as they mindlessly allow Trump to operate without any guardrails whatsoever...The Federalist reports that earlier this week their office in a posh part of DC was essentially blockaded by “drunk, belligerent vagrants”...The White House Wire included a link from the Wall Street Journal in yesterday’s post. That’s the first time since June they’ve linked to the Journal and it may signal tensions between two camps are subsiding....If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard

America Has Plenty of Reason to Believe Adam Schiff Schemed to Smear Trump

source: NY Post

Whistleblower allegations are merely allegations — but the ones newly surfacing about then-Rep. Adam Schiff’s gross misconduct in the wake of the 2016 election certainly fit with what we know for certain about his abuses of power.

Adam “Shifty” Schiff Tops Gruber’s Most Wanted List

source: SteveGruber.com

Gruber’s Most Wanted is a running dossier on the worst of the worst in Washington. We’re talking about the career crooks, the political lifers who’ve lined their pockets, ignored the people, and trashed the country. First up? Freshman California Senator and veteran dirtbag Adam “Shifty” Schiff—a man who’s built a career on lies, leaks, and self-interest.

Trump Shouldn’t Push India to the Dark Side

Melania Just Declared Open Season on America’s Most Overrated Deadbeat

source: Townhall

Melania Trump has had enough — and the unlucky recipient of her patience running out is none other than Hunter Biden, the Biden family’s most chronic embarrassment. She’s putting him on legal notice for a jaw-dropping $1 billion over his disgusting, baseless attempt to smear her name.

Acquiring Greenland Will Require Outside the Box Strategies

source: Newsmax

If we wanted to offer every Greenlander  $1 million to embrace the U.S., Washington would have to cough up $56 billion. But it would be a one-time payment (amounting to only about one-fifth of the annual budget of the Department of Education) and the U.S. would finally have legal control over an 840,000 square mile buffer guarding the northeastern flank of North America.

1,000 People Died While NY Attorney General Chased Trump

It’s time for Attorney General Letitia James to pay the price for her crimes.

A NYC Judge Just Bent Over Backwards for Illegals

source: An Americanist

Illegal immigrants get a judge to jump into action within days. They get more space, more food, better hygiene, and special rules for legal calls. But let’s remember the J6 defendants — many of them nonviolent — sat rotting in DC jails for years. They’ve reported moldy food, no regular access to lawyers, and filthy conditions.

Gay No More

This shift couldn’t come at a better time. Young men today face pressures their fathers never imagined. Online communities push identities like products. Social media algorithms feed confusion. Cultural authorities insist that every fleeting attraction must be embraced, celebrated, and built into permanent identity.

Our Schools Are Churning Out Mamdani Voters

source: Unleash Prosperity

Wall Street Journal columnist Gerald Baker zeros in on one of the key factors behind the victory of socialist Zohran Mamdani in New York City’s Democratic mayoral primary: the indoctrination of today’s youth in public and especially elite private schools – such as the ones Mamdani attended.

Powell’s War on Trump’s Booming America

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Divorce him already, Usha. That’s the head-snapping title of the provocative article Salon dropped earlier this week urging the second lady to divorce VP JD Vance. “Megan McCain hosted Usha Vance for what should have been the softest of softball interviews, focused on what life as second lady is like,” wrote Salon’s Amanda Marcotte. “Vance clearly understood her assignment was to make it all seem like a great time — that leaving her career as a high-powered attorney to spend her days doing sub-Melania Trump public appearances about dull topics like the importance of reading for kids. But her acting chops weren’t up to it. Instead, audiences were treated to a one-hour hostage video, as the increasingly desperate McCain tried to get Vance to feign interest in her own life.” Ouch... Jon Stewart for president?  That’s not a joke.  It’s the headline of journalist Mehdi Hasan’s article in his Zeteo newsletter.  “Yes, part of me wants Stewart to stay in comedy, to continue as the host of ‘The Daily Show’ and ‘The Weekly Show’ where he educates and entertains, and platforms vital voices,” Hasan wrote. “And part of me would love to see Stewart primary the Kushner-confirming, crypto-backing, genocide-supporting, war-criminal-hugging, AIPAC-texting Cory Booker in his home state of New Jersey next year. But part of me now also thinks Stewart should consider running for president in 2028.” Yeah, well part of me is getting tired of pundits speculating about hyper-articulate celebrities like Stewart and ESPN’s Stephen Smith who might be right for the Oval Office...I’ve just released new research about the White House Wire, the Drudge-Report-like mini-aggregation newsletter featuring good news about the Trump administration. It ignored Rupert Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal in July after the Journal published details of a bawdy Trump birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003.  But the White House Wire showered the Murdoch-controlled Fox News with 29 links in July, more than any other outlet...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. DC’s Crime Stats Can’t Be Trusted

But you can’t fake a safe DC.

Another Nail Just Got Hammered in Bogus “DC Crime Is Down” Talking Point

source: RedState

Democrats and their media allies are citing questionable stats to proclaim "crime is down" in DC amid Trump's federalizing law enforcement there, even as residents and others who live elsewhere but work in our nation's capital have been lining up to share their stories of being victimized.

Hate-Trump Media Falsely Report DC Crime Decrease Using City’s Bogus Data

source: The New American

Violent crime in the nation’s capital, they say, is down almost 40 percent. But the media’s crime-fighting journalists don’t know — or did know and didn’t report — that the city fiddles with violent-crime data to exclude very violent crimes from their total.

The January 6 Riot Isn’t DC’s “Most Violent Moment”

source: NewsBusters

It’s simply false to suggest that January 6 was “the most violent moment in recent history in DC.” This obviously ignores the DC riots after George Floyd’s death in 2020.
