According to Brown University’s Costs of War project, the military interventions we collectively know as the Global War on Terror led to the deaths of over 900,000 people and cost the United States more than $8 trillion. Afghanistan and Iraq ended in failure. Bin Laden seemed to have gotten what he wanted out of the attacks.
