It was Muslims who had attacked us on 9/11, and had done so in accordance with their prophet’s directives; but even as our armed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan labored to overcome social ills in those countries that resulted from Islam’s influence, our elites began painting Islam as beautiful and peaceful while casting Muslims in the role of America’s ultimate victims.
