If the push for a straight, white Christian male picks up steam in the Democratic Party, that’s a rough signal to Pete Buttigieg and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who are gay and Jewish, respectively. Both of their names have been mentioned near the top of the list of potential Dem candidates for 2028.
