“Women” are folks whose approach to problems both real and imagined would be categorized by a rational onlooker as “mostly feminine”; think social worker to talk feelings versus armed police to arrest. So for example, a man who studies the “intersection of race and culture in Russian poetry” and becomes the “Diversity Coordinator” at a nonprofit is, for all intents and purposes, a woman.
