Newsmax Records 5th Straight Month of Traffic Increases, Despite Softer News Environment

November 22,  2021, New York, NY – Newsmax generated its fifth consecutive month of year-over-year (YOY) increases in unique visitors, according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of October 2021 mobile and desktop traffic based on Comscore data.  Newsmax has consistently built its audience since last June while almost all other right-wing websites have experienced traffic declines due to a softer news landscape.  In October 2021, Newsmax attracted 6,158,000 unique visitors, compared to 3,596,000 in October 2020, for a 71% gain.

Only three other right-wing websites in TheRighting’s top 20 also posted audience increases: Infowars, the Epoch Times and the Daily Signal.  Meanwhile, YOY unique visitors to DonaldJTrump.com fell 92% in October, marking another disastrous month for the former president’s website.

Foxnews.com continued its reign as the highest-ranked conservative website in TheRighting’s survey with 93,798,000 unique visitors in October.  However, its audience sagged for the 11th consecutive month (-7%).

“The year-over-year audience declines we’re seeing are not surprising and I anticipate further decreases in the coming months,” said Howard Polskin, President, TheRighting.  “Because of the pandemic and the contested election, the months of October 2020 through January 2021 were some of the most tumultuous in recent American history.  It’s unrealistic to expect the 2021 fourth quarter traffic to match the numbers from last year.”
