Ocasio-Cortez had recounted a story earlier this week about a supposed threat to her physical person during the Capitol event on January 6. Ocasio-Cortez recounted rioters besieging a House office building where she was present. However, there’s no reason to believe that riotous protestors ever entered the Cannon House Office building, although those present within the office evacuated during the event.
