TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Target in the crosshairs: The American Family Association has ended its nine-year boycott of Target. The ultra-right organization had targeted the retail chain because of its gender-neutral bathroom policy. While Target ‘s lavatory policy still stands, the AFA boasted that its pressure campaign succeeded in part as Target added single-occupancy restrooms and cut the amount of LGBTQ Pride Month merchandise it promoted. Meanwhile, civil rights groups are boycotting Target for pulling back on its DEI initiatives…Interested in a late summer Norwegian holiday? The right wing Media Research Council offers a seven-day Holland America cruise to the Land of the Midnight Sun featuring  MRC founder L. Brent Bozell III, Kevin “Hercules” Sorbo and veteran conservative commentator Cal Thomas. Asking my accountant if the price of the cruise would be a legit business expense for me...More travel news. Starting June 15, United Airlines offers twice-weekly flights from Newark International Airport to Greenland.  The service runs through September 23 just before the onset of the country’s harsh  winter. Maybe before then The Donald will have made Greenland the 51st state and you won’t need your passport...Weekend Watch: Of course, it’s the 59th Super Bowl but beware of the guacamole-curdling pre-gameTrump interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier.  If you’re looking for relief from the sports hoopla, I’d give a soft recommendation to Here, starring Tom Hanks.  Featured on Netflix, the Robert Zemeckis-directed film is the tale of family life shot in the living room of the same house through the decades. I found “Here” to be a slow-moving heart-warmer – more of a golf cart ride than a roller coaster -- but a welcome respite in these troubling times…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard

From NYC Mogul to Middle East Mogul?

source: SteveGruber.com

Once the pesky issue of inhabitants is resolved, Trump’s vision is to level the existing structures and rebuild Gaza into a luxurious destination. Think Las Vegas meets Dubai. Trump, ever the visionary, sees this as a place where “the world’s people” can live, presumably in peace, harmony, and five-star accommodations.

Trump’s Plan for the “Riviera of the Middle East” Could Work

source: Human Events

In the last forty years, there has been the creation of an entire industry in Indian gaming casinos. At first, there were significant pushbacks from many tribal members who didn’t want gambling on their land. But that was overcome by the casinos creating specific policies.

Fortress America: Removing 50 Million “Migrants” and Building a Sovereign Homeland for U.S. Citizens

source: Border Hawk News

The United States is facing an opportunity to return to greatness as a nation that exists primarily to benefit its citizens, not those of the rest of the world.

Trump Should Shutter USAID

Development economics is a hotbed for corruption.

USAID Went Woke and Destroyed Itself

source: Fox News

USAID, the U.S. government’s vehicle to disburse tens of billions of dollars in taxpayer-funded foreign aid, is a troubling tale of a government agency going off the rails ideologically and losing both bipartisan political support in Congress and the trust of the American people.

This is why USAID is a national security threat.

Trump Is Restoring the Presidency to the Founder’s Vision

source: Daily Caller

By Charlie Kirk: He is restoring the Article II presidency, the presidency as it is described by our founders in the Constitution. In a real Article II presidency, it is the president who executes the laws, sets foreign policy, manages federal law enforcement, and controls the military.

Trump’s Youth Revolution

source: Washington Free Beacon

Trump may be the oldest man elected president, but he leads a youth movement that will shape politics for decades to come. Trump shattered the cliché that Republicans are the party of seniors and Democrats the party of young people.

The Rise of GenZ

As Musk’s roving band of wunderkids and Karoline Leavitt prove, young people, given guidance and opportunity, can excel beyond our wildest imagination.

CNN’s “Big Balls” DOGE Segment Is Unhinged Insanity

source: Outkick

You couldn't have scripted this segment better if you tried. This is art. All three women on CNN are treating the situation like they're breaking down every frame of the Zapruder film. If you ever find yourself on TV analyzing a "Big Balls" online name, then it's time to step outside for fresh air.

CBS Must Fix its Lefty-Propaganda Problem

source: NY Post

Ouch: Wednesday’s release of the raw “60 Minutes” interview of Kamala Harris proves beyond a doubt that the once-respected news outlet covered for her big-time; how does CBS News earn its reputation back now? Like all too many legacy media operations, it needs to clear out the partisan rot.

Shut Down the Department of Education

source: The Free Press

By Betsy DeVos: Since its creation in 1979, the Department of Education has sent well more than $1 trillion to schools with the express purpose of closing the gaps between the highest and lowest performers. Today, those gaps are as wide as they have ever been, and by many measures, even wider.

A Victory for Women Athletes

President Trump deals another blow against gender ideology.

Don’t Fall in Love with Fetterman

source: Townhall

By Kurt Schlichter: He may evolve into a Joe Manchin Lite, a Democrat red-state senator who occasionally tosses a vote in with the Republicans but never when it really matters. When it’s serious, when it’s going to actually affect something important, he will be right there with Chuck Schumer.

Is Boston the Next Big Blue City to Try to Heal Itself?

source: Unleash Prosperity

Beantown may be the next city where voters stage a coup against progressive ruin – joining the ranks of deep blue cities like San Francisco, Seattle and others that voted in moderate, pro-business Democrats. This week, Josh Kraft, whose father owns the New England Patriots, announced he will challenge Boston Mayor Michelle Wu this November.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! I don’t know about you, but I’m panic-watching the news every night for about 30 minutes before resting my brain on mindless entertainment.  Not a good way to start the year… Breitbart has crowned ex-BLM activist Xaviaer DuRousseau as the latest right wing media sensation…Longtime libertarian John Stossel, a veteran of Fox Business News and ABC News, praises  Elon Musk for taking the hatchet to a growing list of federal agencies. (Townhall)…Daily Caller joins a growing list of right wing outlets dismissive of Donald Trump’s unhinged  proposal to remove two million Gaza residents and turn the devastated land into a U.S.-controlled Middle East “Riviera." “The very idea of illegally claiming ownership of Gaza is as farcical as it is insidious,” opines the Daily Caller’s John Loftus. “(I)t deserves to be shot down and ridiculed.” Amen to that…Natalie Winters, the White House correspondent for Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast, gave an interview to Outkick where the 23-year-old defended herself from critics who’ve  blasted her for fashion choices that seem more appropriate for a nightclubbing than the briefing room. The piece  is chock-a-block with photos of Winters, so fashionistas should judge for themselves…Adios United Nations? The Federalist lists five reasons why the U.S. should exit the UN…“The Megyn Kelly Show” is by far the fastest growing right wing podcast, according to TheRighting’s exclusive research.  The number of subscribers to her program on the Castbox platform surged 128% in Q4 2024 vs Q4 2023.  She ranks #7 on our top 20 list.  I predict that by mid-year Megyn’s podcast easily cracks the top 5…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
