I Know You Are, But What Am I: : Donald Trump challenged Kamala Harris to pass a test on cognitive stamina and agility.  Here’s what The Donald wrote on X, “Her actions have led many to believe that there could be something very wrong with her”… Agree 100%: The American Conservative observes a noticeable “vibe shift” and upswing for the GOP since JD Vance’s strong debate performance…"The Apprentice,” the film about how a young Donald Trump was schooled in his evil ways under the tutelage of reptilian lawyer/fixer  Roy Cohn, tanked at the box office in its opening weekend, according to multiple reports.  While I expect the Right to reject the movie, it received a hearty thumbs up from a source of mine at a major conservative outlet who saw the film…Dept. of Bad News:  Turns out those feel-good stories about two young pandas who just arrived from China at DC's National Zoo have a dark side. The New York Times reports that in an effort to increase the population of the endangered species, zoos resort to artificial breeding which “has killed at least one panda, burned the rectum of another and caused vomiting and injuries in others.” And I naively hoped that the arrival of the cute animals would be the most uplifting news coming out of Washington this week…If  you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Trump is expected to hold a major rally in Manhattan on October 27 at Manhattan’s Madison Square Garden (NY Post).  It’s obviously his way of grabbing headlines in the media capital of the world  days before the election. I fear large demonstrations in the streets and violent clashes between opposing political camps.  Trump would probably welcome it because it increases his visibility and showcases his toxic brand.  Dem strategist James Carville believes the rally will mimic the 1939 Nazi gathering attended by thousands in the old Madison Square Garden (Mediaite)…There will be a new addition to the Trump family dynasty.  The Donald announced last week at the Detroit Economic Club that his daughter Tiffany is pregnant.  That would be his 10^th grandchild (People)…Vivian Kubrick, the daughter of legendary film director Stanley Kubrick who died in 1999, believes her father would have been a Trump fan and MAGA supporter, according to Hollywood in Toto.  The conservative blog also revealed that Ms. Kubrick shares social media posts from the likes of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and Tucker Carlson…Most offensive headline for the week of October 7: The Federalist’s Kamala Is Too Stupid to Be President.  Once again, right wing media shows its disdain for powerful women of color with a headline that feels just plain racist and misogynistic…Finally, we're featuring a Q&A with author Bill Adair about his new book Beyond the Big Lie, which examines the epidemic of lying infecting our politics.  Spoiler alert: Republicans lie more than Democrats…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
