Shocking but not surprising: No right wing media outlet that I surveyed this morning slammed Trump’s vile comments implying that DEI was the cause of the DC air tragedy…Is it just me, or was this January the longest, most awful January this century? So many terrible events crammed into 31 days.  Can’t wait until it’s in my rear view mirror….Worth noting: National Review criticized both Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr. for being unsuitable candidates for their powerful federal positions and backpedaling just enough to secure their nominations…Natalie Winters, the 23-year-old executive editor and co-host of the podcast “Bannon’s War Room,” reportedly the youngest journalist to attend White House press briefings, is defending herself from detractors, per Outkick. If you check out the images of Ms. Winters (especially the one standing in the White House driveway) you’ll understand the uproar.  She’s also taking heat for her views on transgenderism, Islam and her spelling flubs…Not on my playlist: The pro-Trump song “Daddy’s Home” is a fan favorite in Trumpworld, sung by Canadian MAGA rapper Tom MacDonald.  An almost unrecognizable Roseanne Barr shows up in the video….Weekend Watch: September 5 recreates the slaughter of 11 Israeli athletes during the 1972 Munich Olympics after Palestinian terrorists stormed their living quarters and held them hostage. Almost all of the tense scenes take place in the control room of ABC Sports which was broadcasting the games.  It’s a tight, taut drama with a gut punch that is especially relevant today.  In theaters now….If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Greetings! CNN is taking incoming fire for “pointing the finger at Trump” for the fatal DC air crash, according to RedState…The NY Post put a heavy  hammer to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s shoddy testimony at yesterday’s Senate confirmation hearings.  In an opinion piece in the Rupert Murdoch-owned outlet, RFK Jr. was labeled a “charlatan” who lied his way through the hearing.  The NY Post op-ed took a shot too at the entire Kennedy clan. “As you might expect of any Kennedy,” wrote Isaac Schorr, “his answers were full of obfuscations, half-truths, and outright lies”…Vile right wing conspiracy theorist and Infowars honcho Alex Jones stated that’s he’s been invited to the White House next week, presumably for a White House press briefing.  That would be a bridge too far, even for the Trump administration. (Infowars)…Melania’s official White House portrait continues to take flak.  Yesterday, I reported on two right wing outlets that trashed the black & white photo.  Now, fashion bible Vogue has weighed in with a double dose of snark. “The choice to wear a tuxedo—as opposed to a blazer or blouse—made Trump look more like a freelance magician than a public servant,” sniffed Vogue’s Hannah Jackson. “It’s perhaps unsurprising that a woman who lived in a gold-encrusted penthouse, whose fame is so intertwined with a reality-television empire, would refuse to abandon theatrics—even when faced with 248 years of tradition.”  Don’t expect to see FLOTUS gracing Vogue’s cover anytime soon…According to TheRighting’s exclusive research, over the last four  years, 21 major news sites, both leaning left and right, saw serious audience declines in the past four years.
