Greetings!  Joe Biden’s week just took a sharp turn for the worse.  Yesterday’s Washington Post gave a rave review to the new nonfiction book Original Sin, which offers an inside look into Biden’s harrowing decline during the last part of his presidency and his staff’s efforts to cover it up.  It came on the heels of Tuesday’s NY Times  laudatory critique of CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’s Alex Thompson “Original Sin” from authors Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson.  Right-wing media outlets are salivating at the chance to revisit the wobbly final days of the Biden White House as reported by the two establishment journos. The book, which is already a bestseller, provides a healthy distraction from the daily scandal-feed of the Trump administration kleptocracy...MAGA-world will love this. There’s now a database of “males who have robbed female athletes of success and opportunities in sport and the organizations who have helped them do so.”  That’s what’s on the homepage of the HeCheated database.…Dept. of Surprises: Loomered, the website of looney Trump whisperer Laura Loomer has a column  warning RFK Jr. acolytes and other members of the MAHA movement of “grifters in their midst.”  Specifically, Loomered’s Jacob Engels accuses ex-pharma sales exec Brigham Buhler of “illegally producing medications and enriching himself, which now has many saying he is putting patient safety at risk across the nation”...Housekeeping alert: I’m traveling via bus to the DC area tomorrow morning.  Pray the wifi gods are with me so you’ll have your newsletter tomorrow. Greetings.  More bad news for Democrats.  Biden’s reputation takes a well-deserved torpedo in the NY Times book review of Original Sin: Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again. According to the positive review, “The authors trace the deluge of trouble that flowed from Biden’s original sin: the sidelining of Vice President Kamala Harris; the attacks on journalists who deigned to report on worries about Biden’s apparent fatigue and mental state; an American public lacking clear communication from the president and left to twist in the wind.” The book, by veteran journalists Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, hits retailers May 20. Already, right-wing media outlets are responding with Breitbart calling Biden’s health in his last year in office the “worst cover-up in American political history.” Better buckle up Joe.  Gonna be a bumpy spring....Asleep at the wheel? Donald Trump appears to have been dozing during a briefing yesterday in Saudi Arabia.  Here’s the spot-on headline from The New Republic: “Old Man Trump Falls Asleep in Middle of Saudi Briefing on Arms Deal.” Trump turns 80 in 13 months, so maybe we should cut the old guy some slack....Kash Patel, mediocre columnist! Foxnews.com has published FBI Director Kash Patel’s anodyne op-ed calling for Americans to show their appreciation for law enforcement personnel.
