Key sentence: “Is this how the new Republican Party plans on helping working-class voters?” American Spectator also gives tariffs a big thumbs calling them “another word for taxes”...Dept. of Every Day I Learn Something New: Steve Bannon’s daughter Maureen identifies as WarRoom CEO  (presumably her dad’s podcast) on her Twitter account.  She has 142,000 followers…Becoming Katherine Graham is clearly the week’s most timely documentary. The film focuses on the storied career of Graham, who in 1963 became The Washington Post’s publisher after her husband’s suicide. She famously – and courageously – helmed the newspaper during the Watergate scandal that toppled Richard Nixon’s corrupt administration.  Ironically, it debuted last week on the Jeff Bezos-controlled Amazon Prime Video. Last night’s Academy Award ceremony was almost free of direct digs about Donald Trump’s maniacal first five weeks as MAGA-in-Chief.  Still, Oscar host Conan O’Brien couldn’t resist noting that Best Picture winner “Anora,” centered around a young Brooklyn woman clashing with her Moscow oligarch’s in-laws, was having a good night because “Americans are excited to see someone stand up to a powerful Russian”…Robert R. Kennedy Jr.  wrote a tepid opinion piece for Foxnews.com regarding a deadly measles outbreak among the unvaccinated in Texas and New Mexico. Trump’s Health & Human Services honcho calls for the availability of vaccines “for those who want them” and suggested parents talk to their health care providers to better understand what  options are open to them.  However, he stopped short of calling for all parents to have  their children vaccinated…John Fetterman for president! On Friday night’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher revealed the sartorially-challenged Pennsylvania Senator should be the Dem’s  choice for a 2028 White House run.  “Fetterman says the four words that strike fear in the heart of every Republican that wants to hang onto power: ‘I am not woke,’” Maher explained.
