TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings!  Good news for Newsmax? The Wall Street Journal is reporting exclusively this morning that Trump’s presidential library is likely to be built on the sprawling campus of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. It’s just around the corner from the headquarters of the conservative media juggernaut Newsmax (which I visited several months ago).  If this comes to pass, it will probably transform Boca Raton into a mecca for the MAGA-loving faithful for years to come...American Greatness is touting a new documentary that allegedly exposes the “wind energy scam.” “Blown Away” purports to show how wind turbines depend on fossil fuels for construction and how they can actually damage the environment.  You can watch the 73-minute documentary for free on X...Milk or bourbon?  Yesterday, I reported that Sec. of Defense Pete “Hair Gel” Hegseth was going to rename the Navy ship named after gay right icon Harvey Milk.  An astute fan of TheRighting suggested on my TikTok account that Hegseth, who has been accused alcohol abuse, should call the ship Jack Daniels.  Maybe the SS Shirley Temple should be considered as well...Former Biden press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is writing a book about the last few months of Biden’s ill-fated presidential campaign, especially the three weeks leading up to his dropping out of the race. KJP claims Biden was betrayed by his party.  Independent: A Look Inside the Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines will be published in October. Memo to KJP: Scrap the title and come up with something catchier...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard

Gays Ruined “Pride” with Engaging in Public Sex

source: The Federalist

The public sex displays ruined whatever might have been fine about “Pride.” They still say it’s about “love” and “acceptance.” That stopped being true around 2013 in D.C., when it became common for shirtless old men to step out for pride downtown wearing leather harnesses, “transgenders” showing off their mastectomy scars and kinky deviants wearing fetish costumes.

AARP Continues Embrace of Far-Left Gender Ideology During Pride Month

source: Association of Mature American Citizens

AARP is still going full steam ahead on its Pride Month messaging, continuing a years-long pattern of embracing far-left gender ideology. An article published on AARP’s website on May 30 makes clear that AARP has no intention of backing down from its full-throated endorsement of LGBTQ ideology – and exposing children to it.

The Trump administration's renaming is part of a broader shift away from the censorious wokeness that crippled military recruitment and led to an astonishing diminishment in the perception of our military strength.

Campus Chants Have Deadly Consequences

When accused DC gunman Elias Rodriguez was arrested, he shouted, “Free, free Palestine.” His singsong cadence sounded like it came straight from a college campus rally. So did the words in his alleged manifesto.

Every Aspiring Dem Is Helping Illegal Aliens Escape

source: FrontPage

Used to be that it was enough for a ‘progressive’ Dem to just get a photo op crying crocodile tears outside a fence on ICE property. True commitment now requires either aiding and abetting illegal alien criminals to escape from ICE or physically assaulting police officers and immigration personnel in defense of illegal aliens.

Voters Must Fight Dems’ New War on Small-Town America

source: NY Post

The Democratic Party is using brute legal force to remake towns using a cookie-cutter formula that forces each to have the same proportion of houses and apartments, the same mix of low, middle- and upper-income residents and the same reliance on public transit, all controlled by state politicians, not towns and their residents.

Divisive City in Deep-Red State Adopts Pride Flag as Official City Banner

source: Daily Wire

The Missoula, Montana, City Council voted 9-2 on Monday night to make the “Pride” flag the city’s official flag. The move flies in the face of a recent bill signed into law in Montana that bans “Pride” flags from being flown on government property and schools.

Much of Wokeness Is Fueled by the Sexual Revolution

Today, virtually every legal attack against a Christian-run or Christian-owned institution comes not from litigious, self-identified atheists but from sexual revolutionaries masquerading as victims of bigotry.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! More rough seas for Pride Month.  Sec. of Defense Pete “Hair Gel” Hegseth announced that the Navy ship named after gay rights icon Harvey Milk will be renamed on June 13.  No new name has been chosen. Worth noting: Milk served as an operations officer on submarines during the Korean War. He worked as a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors until his assassination in 1978.  In 2006, President Obama posthumously awarded Milk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The website Military.com reviewed a Navy memo stating that the renaming was being ordered to “reestablish a warrior culture.” Also of note: The National Review calls Milk a “patriot”...Non-stop from Toronto to Mar-a-Lago?  Air Canada announced that in celebration of Pride Month, it’s launching its first “two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex and asexual” flight. Fox News and other outlets on the Right have taken notice and not in a good way. Meanwhile, WND describes the flight as woke gone wild.  Worth noting (with a touch of irony): Air Canada flight attendant Gaëtan Dugas was falsely accused of being patient zero for decades in the Aids epidemic that decimated the gay community in the early 80s, according to the CBC...Another day, another Wall Street Journal op-ed criticizing Trump policies. In the WSJ, Princeton economics professor Alan Binder argues that MAGA policies are making America mediocre.  He notes what makes the country great are best-in-class universities, trade and science.  “No other nation comes close. Yet each piece is now being undermined by MAGA,” opines Binder...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Howard

Dems Trip Over Rainbow Flags in a Race to Prove Who’s Wokest

source: SteveGruber.com

let’s not pretend they’re embracing Pride month out of deep moral courage. It’s political currency. It’s a big, flashy virtue signal with a parade float and a carefully rehearsed soundbite. What the Dems are really doing is segmenting the population into voting blocks and tossing them promises, money, legislation and their own holidays.
