TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Stating the obvious: Here’s today’s headline from the editorial board of The Wall Street Journal: At 100 Days, Trump 2.0 Is in Trouble. The editorial goes on to say the tariff flub could sink his presidency. Meanwhile, most other right-wing media outlets today are celebrating Trump’s first three months in office, which you can see in the daily rundown…Dept. of Surprises: Here are three articles from right-wing outlets that have views differing from the Trump administration's policies. American Spectator lists five reasons to oppose RFK Jr.’s food dye ban. The Federalist thinks that paying women to have babies is an awful idea And influential right-wing podcaster Ben Shapiro slams Trump’s see-saw tariff policies in a critical opinion piece for the Daily Signal. The headline says it all: How Not to Win a Trade War…When RFK Jr. was running for president as an independent, reported billionaire Nicole Shanahan, the ex-wife of Google honcho Sergei Brin, was his running mate. Now her podcast Back to the People with Nicole Shanahan will reside at Blaze Media (available to paying subscribers) and focus on the MAHA platform.  Worth noting: the podcast has only 137 subscribers on the Castbox platform, which serves less than 2% of the podcast universe. To put it in context, Ben Shapiro’s daily show has more than 500,000 subscribers on the Castbox platform…The City Journal has published a Q&A with an unnamed Princeton University professor who claims that the school is not “allowed to hired a white guy”…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Donald Trump’s cratering poll numbers must be getting to him. Check out his unhinged, Truth Social post this morning excoriating what he terms “FAKE POLLS FROM FAKE NEWS ORGANIZATIONS.” The enraged  MAGA-in-Chief calls for the companies that conducted the polls – and that includes the NY Times and Fox News -- to be investigated for election fraud…Speaking of the mad king, the Atlantic had dropped its highly anticipated article based on an interview with Trump.  The headline says it all: “I Run the Country and the World”…The Trump War Room X account (2.5 million followers) has posted a photo of Eric Trump wearing a Trump 2028 hat. Gag me… The Washington Times opines that Pope Francis may have been the worst pope in history…Phrase of the week: “Dark Woke,” defined as using combative, edgy and profane language by Dems to win voters who have been influenced by Trump’s aggressive style. (Breitbart)…The right-leaning Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) is hosting a free seminar this Wednesday celebrating Trump 2.0’s  first 100 days.  Here’s how AMAC frames The Donald’s current reign: “Trump’s bold leadership has already delivered a 95% reduction in illegal border crossings, eliminated over $100 billion in wasteful government spending, lowered prescription drug prices, and helped secure $7 trillion in private sector investment, all while pushing inflation down and revitalizing the American Dream.” I’d call that a masterclass in putting lipstick on a pig…If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting.
