That’s my stomach-clenching reaction to the fake video on Truth Social that Trump posted showing Barack Obama being arrested in the Oval Office by FBI agents as The Donald observes passively.  Obama is then frog-marched out and tossed into a jail cell. All to the music of The Village People’s “YMCA.” (This scene occurs 42 seconds in)...Harvard is considering establishing a center for the study of conservative scholarship, according to the Wall Street Journal....The Dispatch thinks it knows why Trump hates Europe. The publication’s Yascha Mounk traces Trump’s general resentment toward  European leaders because of their  disdain for him. Trump’s bitterness toward the continent’s elite reflects his view they’ve not done enough to preserve “their continent's threatened culture”... Favorite right-wing article of the day: American Spectator has a spot-on essay pining for the good ‘ol days when cars weren’t dominated by digital technology that makes a vehicle feel  like a “tablet bolted to a plastic coffin on wheels, ” opines the Spectator’s John Mac Ghlionn.”We now live in the age of touchscreen tyranny, where opening your glove box requires navigating through digital menus like you’re ordering takeout. Climate control has become a software experience. Donald Trump, bestselling  artist?  How much would the sketch Trump allegedly drew of a naked woman for Jeffrey Epstein’s 50th birthday limited edition book fetch if it ever came on the market? A better question: Who would want it hanging in their living room or office?...Predictably, Trump is on the warpath about last week’s Wall Street Journal article about the drawing for his former sex trafficker pal Epstein.  He has carpet-bombed the Murdoch empire demanding $10 billion in damages. Worth noting: As I revealed last week, the Trump White House linked most to Murdoch-controlled media in the administration's  aggregation newsletter that steers readers to positive Trump stories.  Let’s see if 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue  keeps linking to the WSJ  and Fox News.  Worth noting: the White House linked twice today to stories from Fox but not the Journal...Democratic strategist and nonstop chatterbox James Carville advises his party on how to win the midterm elections in a NY Times op-ed.  My two cents: It’s naïve to reflexively assume there will be midterm elections. Trump always does the worst things imaginable...Dept. of Broken Hearts: Outkick is speculating that the relationship between WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark and her “Kamala-loving” boyfriend may be in trouble. “There's a video circulating the internet today of Clark greeting this poor sap during All-Star festivities Friday night, and it's just a tough watch,” Outkick’s Zach Dean reports. “This just screams, ‘Trouble in paradise!’”...A classy way to celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary?
