TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Bring on the jackboots! That’s the solution to urban violence says the Daily Caller’s Geoffrey Ingersoll in a disturbing column pegged to the recent attack on two people in downtown Cincinnati.  “There’s a lot of focus on the mob being black while the victims were white,” he wrote. “At this point, I’ll put in print what I’ve been saying for several years now: Has any movement done more to contribute to public derangement of the inner-city black community than Black Lives Matter?” Ingersoll goes on to call for what is essentially a police state patrolling our urban centers. “Treat public displays of mob violence with disproportionate displays of state violence. I’m talking police horses trampling people. Broken bones. Billy clubs matted with hair and blood. People with broken hands can’t commit crimes for at least three months”...Hollywood starlet and “It Girl” Sydney Sweeney's new blue jeans TV ad is the latest Madison Ave. offering pitting right against left.  (Check out the many headlines on the issue I’ve culled from today and yesterday.) Wondering if there’s something lasting here or it’s just a dog days of summer nothingburger that will fade in a month. One thing is for certain: American Eagle will make big green bucks on those pre-washed blue denims. Worth noting: Other than Ted Cruz, who defended the ad, no prominent politician or celebrity on the left or right appears to have waded into the jeans debate. But the week's not over....Yesterday’s lead item from an American Spectator op-ed threw major shade at Barack Obama’s presidential library now under construction in Chicago.  For a more balanced view of this ambitious project, check out this New York Times article...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. Democratic Party Has Always Been as Foul as Jasmine Crockett

Jasmine Crockett’s approach to politics isn’t new. Democrats have always been vulgar little deviants of no shame.

Another Liberal Media Crash and Burn

source: Granite Grok

The Left is a mess, and Media Matters is on its way to insolvency. No more USAID. The Feds are chasing ActBlue into a box canyon of criminal negligence and enduring regret. It’s an all-out assault on the waste stream that keeps liberals and their media alive. And Paramount even canceled that pretentious prick, Colbert (he was only losing 40-50 million a year).

Media Talking Heads Get Almost Everything Wrong About Midtown NYC Shooting Spree

source: ConservativeHQ

It seems quite possible that CNN was preparing to tee-up the usual Leftwing media narrative of mass murder by “white nationalist with big scary gun” only to be overtaken by the facts as Tamura’s social media and Nevada concealed carry permit quickly appeared online to reveal he was not “possibly white.”

Lena Dunham’s “Too Much” Is Abortion Propaganda Masquerading as a Rom-Com

source: NewsBusters

Infamous pro-abortion activist Lena Dunham is back on television with her new rom-com Too Much (streaming on Netflix), and, unsurprisingly, the series is basically a not-so-subtle ad for abortion.

Trump’s Trade Tsunami Rolls Over the Globe

source: SteveGruber.com

President Trump is racking up victories on the global trade front — and the latest deal with the European Union might just be the crown jewel. In just 75 minutes behind closed doors, Trump locked in $600 billion in new EU investment and a promise to purchase $750 billion worth of American energy products. That’s not just a win — it’s a power play

Despite DEI Cuts, Critics Argue U. of Wyoming Still Pushes Politicized Courses

Questions have been raised about whether recent changes at the University of Wyoming to curb diversity, equity and inclusion and eliminate progressive-minded degree programs are essentially window dressing.

TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! The American Spectator thinks Barack Obama’s presidential library in Chicago is a monstrosity.  The outlet quotes Black conservative Ken Blackwell’s description on Facebook: “It looks like the Ministry of Truth from a failed Marxist state. Cold. Ominous. Bureaucratic. The perfect shrine to eight years of weaponized government, broken promises, and elite arrogance. This isn’t a library. It’s a fortress.” The Spectator article, written by Scott McKay, concludes ominously.  “It’s in a building like this that one might conceive of the plot to destroy a duly elected president of the United States might be hatched”...Looks like the DonaldTrump/ Bill Maher  bromance is in full-flower.  On yesterday's “Club Random” podcast, Maher admitted that Trump’s tariffs hadn’t tanked the economy and the country’s economy seemed to be in good shape.  Trump noticed the positive words and posted a one-minute clip of Maher’s observation and simply wrote, “Thanks Bill!”  Worth noting: The Wall Street Journal’s Editor-at-Large Gerald Baker shares Maher’s opinion in this op-ed: If Trump’s Tariffs Are So Bad, Where’s the Recession?....So much for mainstream media: The Donald  gave Breitbart News an exclusive hour-long interview in Scotland yesterday.  Breitbart featured Trump praises for his new Aberdeen golf course.  Not exactly stop-the-presses news..Trump Administration 1.0 "It Girl" Hope Hicks has a new gig.  Podcast superstar Megyn Kelly named Hicks COO of her fast-growing company, Devil May Care Media. The Left-Wing Hysteria Over Sydney Sweeney’s Jeans Ad Got Even More Insane

source: RedState

What's political about a broadly popular Hollywood actress doing an ad campaign for jeans? You're answer is probably nothing, but then you'd be underestimating how talented the left is at turning absolute nothingness into total hysteria.

Sydney Sweeney Is Hot, DEI Is Not

source: Washington Times

There are some irrefutable truths.

Sydney Sweeney Has Good Jeans

source: HotAir

It is well known that the Nazi ideal was also blond hair and blue eyes, despite Hitler's and his buddies' distinct lack of them. But connecting Sidney Sweeney to Nazism makes as much sense as claiming that Biden is like Hitler because they both liked dogs.

No, Sydney Sweeney Is Not a Nazi Propagandist

source: Washington Examiner

The source of all this controversy? Well, American Eagle dared to partner with actress Sydney Sweeney for a commercial where the blue-eyed, blonde bombshell says: “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color. My jeans are blue.”

Trump’s Major Trade Wins Could Be Rocket Fuel to the U.S. Economy

Hats off to President Donald Trump, who is singlehandedly reordering global trade, in the face of enormous opposition. The president took office pledging to make trade fair again for Americans, and he is well on his way to achieving exactly that.
