TOP OF THE DAY by Howard Polskin

Greetings! Yesterday’s headlines were dominated by the end of the 43-day government shutdown as well as new revelations about Trump’s relationship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, which really caught my eye. I shed no tears for the unscrupulous president as the walls appear to be closing in on him. Nonetheless, I agree with Bret Stephens’ comments in today’s lead opinion piece in the NY Times which aligns with my opinion on the consequences for Trump.  He was quoted as saying, “The only way any of this sticks, politically, is smoking-gun, red-letter evidence that Trump had a sexual relationship with one of Epstein’s victims. Otherwise, it doesn’t do much but provide fodder for a few manic hours on MSNBC.” Worth noting: In his flaccid defense, Trump wrote in a Truth Social post that the Dems are flogging the Epstein story again as a deflection for “how badly they’ve done on the Shutdown”...Speaking of The Donald, his childhood home in Jamaica Plains, Queens, is for sale (again).  It’s listed for $2.3 million, which includes a one-car detached garage...Dept. of No Insurrections: Newsmax CEO and Trump whisperer Chris Ruddy has penned an editorial for his publication thanking the president for his billion-dollar defamation lawsuit against the BBC.  “What's really at stake here isn't just one clip or one broadcaster. It's the broader media deception surrounding January 6,” Ruddy wrote. “From the moment the events unfolded, outlets like the BBC, CNN, and The Washington Post portrayed Trump as the instigator of an ‘insurrection.’ Yet the facts tell a different story.” Worth noting: CNN’s Brian Stelter appeared on PBS for seven minutes last night explaining the controversy and NewsBusters accused him of performing “damage control” on behalf of the BBC...If you keep reading, I’ll keep Righting. The Left Is Pushing a False Epstein Smear Campaign

By Miranda Devine: The party that cries wolf is at it again. Democrats are back in Congress after their shutdown to launch another anti-Trump hoax. This time, it’s not a fictional “pee tape” but the old Epstein horse they keep flogging.

Why Trump’s Epstein Problem Won’t Go Away

source: The Free Press

In a few weeks Trump may find out the fate of the rest of his presidency.Next month, after the Thanksgiving recess, Congress is expected to vote to release the so-called Epstein files. If a bloc of Republicans joins forces with House Democrats to force the documents’ release, as is anticipated, it will be a moment of failure for Trump.

What the Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released Wednesday in a breathless communique claiming they had Jeffrey Epstein dirt on Donald Trump is about as weak a sauce as one could imagine in a political setting.

Trump Reopens Government After 43 Days of Democrat Shutdown

source: Breitbart

“For the past 43 days, Democrats in Congress shut down the government of the United States in an attempt to extort American taxpayers for hundreds of billions of dollars for illegal aliens and people that came into our country illegally,” Trump said.

Another Government Shutdown, Another Pointless Waste of Time

Given the noise from the left, it is now obvious that a pretty significant chunk of the Democrats didn’t really have a plan, or even the intention, to end the government shutdown.

Pelosi, Schumer and Jeffries All Crashed in One Week

source: Conservative View from NH

The events of the last few days are splitting the Democratic Party. They do not have a viable leader, they have no fresh ideas, and their Party was just embarrassed by Johnson and Thune. They got nothing from the Democrats, and they now have to answer to their constituents as to what the game plan was that went awry.

An entire generation of women is lost amidst engineered anxiety, chasing hollow independence while forsaking the proven anchors of marriage, family, and selfless purpose.

Women Won the Vote, But Is That Good or Bad?

source: American Thinker

Women will likely be running most positions that matter in a few short years. We'll become a society based on empathy over rationality, safety over risk, and cohesion over competition as “toxic” masculinity gets expunged in pursuit of a superficially kinder, gentler society that is based on leveling all “injustices.”

With a vast portfolio today that is heavy on technology stocks, the Pelosis are sitting on $133.7 million according to estimates from Quiver Quantitative. “Nancy Pelosi’s true legacy is becoming the most successful insider trader in American history,” Kiersten Pels, spokesperson for the Republican National Committee said.

“60 Minutes” Acts as Handmaid to Feminist “Titan”

source: Daily Signal

The self-appointed enforcers of “progressive” media indoctrination are satisfied that CBS hasn’t yet changed the tone of “60 Minutes.” Sunday’s show featured two “fair and factual” stories that criticized Trump. That’s not even counting the 13-minute puff piece by Jon Wertheim on radical feminist author Margaret Atwood, who the Left reveres for warning of right-wing Christian authoritarianism.

It's likely that ittle will change within the BBC unless it follows the example of the new president of CBS News and begins hiring reporters with a conservative worldview who will presumably report conservative ideas fairly and accurately.
