The Washington Examiner’s Traffic Continues to Climb with 6th Consecutive Month of Strong Year-Over-Year Increases in Unique Visitors
July 23, 2019, New York, NY – The Washington Examiner doubled its year-over-year (YOY) unique visitors to its website in June 2019, as the conservative news outlet posted its sixth straight month of traffic increases. The site attracted 10 million unique visitors last month, a hefty increase from June 2018 when the Examiner drew five million unique visitors, according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of traffic to conservative websites in June 2019, using Comscore data. The Examiner ranked as the second-most-trafficked conservative website in June 2019 for the fifth consecutive month.
Foxnews.com also extended its 2019 streak of YOY unique visitors gains to six straight months. It notched a 13% YOY increase bringing in nearly 12 million more unique visitors compared to June 2018. While Foxnews.com lags CNN.com by a substantial amount of traffic, it continues to surpass mainstream media sites like the Washington Post and the New York Times Brand.
TheBlaze.com posted its eighth consecutive month of year-over-year increases in unique visitors. It ranked as the fourth most trafficked conservative website in June, behind the Washington Times, which posted its sixth straight month of YOY traffic gains. Breitbart has yet to experience traffic growth in 2019 as traffic slipped 19% in June 2019.
Among leading mainstream media brands, in June 2019, CNN generated 128,285,000 unique visitors, a 0.4% gain from May 2018. In the same month, The Washington Post recorded a 7% YOY increase with nearly 86 million unique visitors, while the number of unique visitors to The New York Times brand decreased 7% to 86 million as well.
