The Free Press Also Posts Big Gains

The Donald Trump-controlled social media platform recorded 19.5 million total visits in October, making it the fifth most-visited right-wing website that TheRighting monitors.

The Free Press, which Paramount purchased last month, generated 6.3 million visits, a YOY increase of 25%. In October 2024, under the command of co-founder Bari Weiss, who was just installed as editor in chief of CBS News, The Free Press attracted 5 million visits.Only three right-wing websites in TheRighting’s top 20 registered traffic increases. In addition to Truth Social and The Free Press, PJ Media posted a YOY October gain of 7%.

“Truth Social’s robust year-over-year gains last month are remarkable, especially when they’re compared with October 2024, the final full month of the galvanizing presidential campaign,” said Howard Polskin, President, TheRighting.  “While almost every news website experienced declines in October 2025 visits, Truth Social, and to a lesser extent, The Free Press, managed to attract even more traffic.  It’s a clear demonstration of the growing strength of those two relatively new right-wing media brands.”

YOY visits to the three mainstream news websites TheRighting regularly follows sank in October.  The New York Times, which led all news websites with 620 million visits, experienced a 6% dip. CNN.com (-26%) and the Washington Post (-40%) posted double-digit declines.
