Neo-Nazi Website The Daily Stormer Posts Big Jan. Increase in Audience Visits; Now Rivals Audience-Visit Levels of Many Well-Known Conservative Websites

February 12, 2018, New York, NY – The neo-Nazi website, The Daily Stormer, ranked as the 22nd most visited right-wing website in January, according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of SimilarWeb data.   TheRighting found that the number of visits to The Daily Stormer were higher than more widely known conservative websites like Hannity.com, weeklystandard.com, and patbuchanan.org among others.

The site, which The Atlantic called “the world’s biggest neo-Nazi website,” posted a 33% rise in visits compared to December visits.  The site drew 3,950,000 visits for January almost a million more than in December when it recorded 2,970,000 visits.  In December, The Daily Stormer registered a 5,000% increase in traffic compared to November 2017 when The Daily Stormer resurfaced at www.dailystormer.red.    The average visit duration to The Daily Stormer lasted 10:06 minutes, second only to PJ Media among top conservative websites.

Eighty percent of the top 20 conservative websites posted gains in January visits.  Only four top-20 conservative websites showed declines in visits from December to January.

Breitbart News, where executive chairman and former White House advisor Stephen Bannon stepped down in early January, experienced a 3.42% slide in audience visits compared to December.  Breitbart still ranked as the second most visited conservative website for the month, drawing 78,000,000 visits, although it was down from 81,000,000 in December.

“Increased interest in the Trump presidency on the one-year anniversary of his inauguration helped drive more interest in January compared to December for most right-leaning sites,” said Howard Polskin, President and Chief Curator, TheRighting.

The top 5 conservative websites in total January visits are as follows:

1.     Foxnews.com (303,000,000)
