Foxnews.com Records Fourth Consecutive Month of Double-Digit Audience Gains

Negative Publicity Fails to Dent Online Audience

April 21,  2023, New York, NY – Year-over-year (YOY) unique visitors to Foxnews.com surged 21% in March, according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of mobile and desktop traffic based on Comscore data.  It was the fourth straight month of double-digit traffic gains for the site. 

Foxnews.com’s increase was notable because competing major mainstream news brands continued to slump in March for the second consecutive month.  Unique visitors were down in March at The Washington Post (-19%), The New York Times brand  (-19%) and  CNN.com (-11%).  Foxnews.com also attracted more unique visitors (88.6 million) than either The New York brand  (86.8 million) or The Washington Post (56.5 million). 

“While the Fox News brand suffered significant reputational damage by the disturbing revelations in the Dominion lawsuit last month, there was no negative impact to the online audience based on the latest data,” said Howard Polskin, President and Chief Curator, TheRighting.   “Audiences ignored or dismissed the flood of damaging stories about the internal working of the Fox News Channel.  In fact, one could argue that the publicity might have attracted more visits to the Fox News website.”

The Truth About Truth Social Traffic

Donald Trump’s Truth Social website notched its second consecutive month of YOY gains in unique visitors.  Here are the March 2023 unique visitors for the five conservative-friendly social media platforms TheRighting follows:

·      Rumble (13,148,000; +50% vs year ago)

·      Truth Social  (3,247,000; +7% vs year ago)

·      MeWe (843,000; -34% vs year ago)

·      Gettr (552,000; -67% vs year ago)

·      Parler (91,000; -92% vs year ago)
