Audience Growth Slows at Foxnews.com
July 24, 2023, New York, NY – After a torrid six-month period characterized by significant year-over-year (YOY) audience increases, growth at FoxNews.com has cooled off. For the first time since November 2022, the conservative web behemoth did not post double-digit gains in traffic.
According to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of mobile and desktop traffic based on Comscore data for June 2023, FoxNews.com attracted 82 million unique visitors, an increase of 6% from June 2022. The site remains by far the leading right wing online source for news and opinion.
“During a relatively slow month for news in June, especially compared to June 2022 when the Jan. 6 hearings dominated the early summer news cycle, Foxnews.com still managed to post solid gains in audience,” said Howard Polskin, President and Chief Curator, TheRighting.
CNN led all news websites generating 131,695,000 unique visitors in June, up 8% compared to the same period in 2022. The other major mainstream news websites TheRighting follows lost YOY audience: The New York Times Brand (-3%) and Washington Post (-9%).
