Foxnews.com Posts First Monthly Traffic Decline Since November 2022
August 29, 2023, New York, NY – For the first time since November 2022, year-over-year (YOY) monthly traffic to Foxnews.com decreased, according to TheRighting’s exclusive analysis of mobile and desktop traffic based on Comscore data for July 2023. Last month, the conservative news behemoth attracted 74.7 million unique visitors compared to 76.2 million during the same period in 2022. It represented a 2% drop.
Three-quarters of the right wing websites in TheRighting’s top 20 list suffered traffic declines in July. After posting a strong 80% rise in unique visitors in June, unique visitors to Trump’s Truth Social fell by 5%.
“Traffic to most news websites in July was impacted by the relatively slow news environment that characterized the month, “ said Howard Polskin, President and Chief Curator, TheRighting. “Events from last July 2022 such as the Jan. 6 televised hearings, the Highland Park shootings and Biden’s positive test for Covid-19, drew much more audience interest.”
CNN topped all news websites with114,549,000 unique visitors in July, up 1%% compared to the same period in 2022. The two other major mainstream news websites TheRighting follows lost YOY audience: The New York Times Brand (-4%) and Washington Post (-12%).
