Foxnews.com Continues Strong 2019 Traffic Performance

As Audience Surges 10% in October

December 2, 2019, New York, NY – Foxnews.com posted a healthy 10% increase in year-over-year (YOY) unique visitors as it strengthened its position as the leading conservative website, according to an exclusive analysis by TheRighting based on Comscore data. More than nine million more unique visitors (98,954,000) came to Foxnews.com in October 2019 compared to October 2018 (88,672,000). Foxnews.com has generated YOY increases in unique visitors nine out of ten months this year.

“A ten percent increase for a site with a such a large base shows growing consumer desire for Foxnews.com content,” said Howard Polskin.  “What’s even more significant is that the news environment last month was relatively placid especially compared to October 2018 when stories like the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh, the murder of Jamal Khasshogi and the massacre at the Pittsburgh synagogue dominated headlines and captured the public’s attention.”

The Washington Examiner remains solidly in second place behind Foxnews.com as its unique visitors YOY soared 75% in October 2019.  It was the tenth straight month of gains for the Examiner.  TheBlaze recorded its 12th straight month of YOY increases in unique visitors.

Breitbart had another month of declining unique visitors for the ninth time this year.  Unique visitors dropped 39% at The Gateway Pundit, also for the ninth time in 2019.

Among the three leading US mainstream news brands, CNN attracted 7.5 million more YOY unique visitors in October 2019 for a +6% change; the New York Times dropped by 10 million YOY unique visitors (-10% change); and the Washington Post dipped by 5.8 million YOY unique visitors (-7% change).
